This is a good policy.

So where are the members of the Council?

Grosso stopped short of saying he had to resign and criticized Patterson for calling for resignation
Trayvon White says he supports the chancellor
Robert White - resign
Silverman seems to be leaning toward resignation / talking to constituents

Cheh ?
Todd ?
Mendelsohn ?
Nadeau?
Gray?
Others ?

I emailed him this morning urging him to make a statement for Wilson to resign. I acknowledge that his rep is to follow whatever the mayor says and encourage him to think for himself.

Grosses criticism of the auditor is misplaced and pathetic.

Agree makes him look weak and trying to distract and deflect. Shall we talk about his performance as chair of the Ed Committee and his role in the Old Hardy School property?

Wow, Grosso really IS a pandering hack tone-deaf idiot. He probably thinks the voters will support Wilson from attack because of his race and high-level position. Completely ignoring that the facts in this case are neutral, speak for themselves, and are pretty bad.

Mendelsohn's own kid is a senior at Ellington and doing just fine. An additional sub-plot.

Another possibility Wilson wanted to leave Ellington is that the academics are hardly better than any other non-Wilson, non-Banneker DCPS school. Simply because it's excellent for arts does not mean that the students are learning a g-d thing. Like any well-educated parent, he probably wanted a supporting environment for his child's education.

No wonder he doesn't like the auditor!

I don't see that as a reason for bugging out after a couple of weeks. Maybe not re-enrolling, or maybe after a semester.

If that’s true about Ellington, we’ll guess what? That’s his responsibility too.

Does Banneker have a wait list? Interesting that he chose to send his daughter to Wilson when he could have tried to get her into Banneker.
