I cannot believe this thread has turned into legal threats. Amazing!

I think Paros, Dan and their legion of inconvenienced parents driving to Chesterbrook spend alot of time on DCUM. Keep it classy Machine.

Um ok. I am an impacted Mach parent, but I and the other impacted families I know could give two shits about T and hydra. There are clearly others who know more about T and his coaching than I (or have strong views).

I would not assume that people posting about T are with Mach.

Doubtful - but ok!

In general, IRL the people who I hear express the most vitriol towards T are parents of kids who swam for him at one time, or who are connected to someone who swam for him. The kid got injured, the kid got sick, the kid started to lose interest in swimming, etc. And rather than being super encouraging, patient, etc- T lost interest in them, and basically encouraged them to drop out of his swim groups. This is in dramatic contrast to Bob, who tends to very much take those kids under his wing.
Another flavor of this are parents of kids who joined T's swim group, and then realized their kid wasn't fast enough to catch T's attention.
Sure Machine parents are upset about the loss of Tuckahoe- but I'm guessing more of it is people who swam for T. It will be interesting now that T is starting his own club, how he deals with the less than fully committed swimmer....

Exactly this! Instead of being encouraging and providing mentorship, he writes kids off—as young as 9 and 10 years old!

I’m a Machine parent and super excited about the move to Chesterbrook. I don’t know a single parent who is upset about losing Tuckahoe anymore. We now have an acceptable alternative and it’s going to be fun. My kid saw the pictures of the proposed structure and said “oh that looks so cool!” We plan to make the best of it and enjoy our friends and beloved coaches. I’m thrilled that we get another year where my kid is excited to swim. I wish the same for all of your swimmers too, whichever club you choose.

+1

Also excited for Machine as they will have a lot more flexibility at the new site now that they are not longer stuck dealing with the constraints of the Tuckahoe board and members.

Another +1 - Super excited!! Wish the best for both teams.

Same. I did not know this guy's name until this whole thing went down, but had heard negative things about a coach at York being a jerk to a friend's kid. Once this all went down I put two and two together and said- "oh this is the guy you were talking about?"

What constraints did Tuckahoe board and members put on that wouldn't be applicable to Chesterbrook? Is it just when lanes are available or something else?

Agree with this. This kid has coached many hundreds of kids at Yorktown don't forget.

Well, according to earlier posters in this thread regarding Huske, I thought as an HS coach, he did very little to develop and prepare HS from a swimming perspective? So how could it be Yorktown HS folks ?

Well first, this makes no sense. People are making broader comments and those could be coming from Yorktown parents. Second, aren't you proving the point? My child swam for him at Yorktown and it was my observation that he did very little to develop and prepare majority of kids from a swimming perspective. Again, from my experience it's what others said...he's interested in the stars and the other kids are ignored. So not really any inconsistencies.
