Any thoughts on this club formation / system question?

Thoughts on what VDA says they do or what they actually do?

Could we start with what formation they play? 4-3-3 or 3-4-3? Different by coach / team? Say and do should be consistent on that.

It was explained in excruciating detail in last week's town hall. watch it yourself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnXUvFD9h2s

What was explained and what actually gets implemented is two different things if you just watch them play across various age groups. Question is still valid

How about AS at U13/U14?

Oh BP - just go watch his practices. No one needs to compare themselves to other coaches.

How does VDA/ VSA prepare u12s for u13? Are you playing 11v11 all year or just in the spring? Does it vary between boys and girls or quality of the team? If anyone could share how VDA sets the pathway it would be appreciated.

Next year will be when VDA surpasses Arlington 2011.

To answer your question, they don't prepare them. The first time your kid will play 11v11 at those clubs is during IDs. VSA seems to do a bit better about having a few players help out with the older teams here and there. It's honestly a joke when you think about it. Loudoun, Arlington, McLean, Vienna, SYC, and even Valor plays their U12s up a year in league play and/or tournaments. There's a reason why their players have a much better understanding of the game.

Any 2011 Girls offers yet?

Tons of 2011s have offers already

Was there a big shake up/change as expected?
Anonymous
Probably won’t know that until it all shakes out but we know of at least 7 new/non-vda players that have already been offered on one of the girls teams. I’d imagine there will be many more. Tons of great quality players at vda IDs. More than anywhere else this go around that’s for sure
