VDA

A lot of us know why previous VDA threads were removed, but that coach will likely not be on here to remove this time around.

VDA as an ECNL club is far better for girl than the boys. They have multiple USYNT players - starting - and a strong D1 presence on some of the best women's college teams. It's not perfect, but new coaches are doing their best to make VDA a premier destination for girls west of the metro area, and some from within dissatisfied with other DMV clubs.

For what?

Already VDA has Swanson (UVA) visiting games and recruited VDA players. Like UVA or not, but as a Virginia school this is good news for many young girls. Previously this was nearly impossible due to the sour nature of a coach and that university. Also BP has done a lot for USYNT considerations. He's building, it's been less than a year... be ready

Lol... I have never seen this much cope in my life.

How are they not doing things for boys? They've sent quite a few players to DCU academy over the years. VDA is the top of the top around this area if you're within their vicinity.

You won't find action here OP, most who come here have gripes with their own clubs and wanna sounding board

I’ll give you some VDA gripe. It costs too much compared to other clubs. The field space for practice is a joke (multiple teams and age groups in the same field). For the money people pay their should at least 1/2 field for each team to practice on. Ali Krieger is a shitty place to watch games. Particularly because of all of the sideline netting. Talent wise, they better do well with what they’ve got or kids will head for the exits. You can likely say the same for many other clubs.

Training is rough, fully agree here, and that's if you don't have to travel far like out to Haymarket at Long Park. I cannot say how more expensive it is compared to other clubs in DMV, but I'd bet it's on par at least.

VDA includes “team fees” in their dues. This accounts for why it “costs too much”. You must be a 2012 parent.

Cost is higher because of lightbulbs and porta potties.

Cost is on par with other NL programs in the area.

They do well on boys and girls side, girls side is getting a boost from BP absolutely.

They also have an advantage over other clubs when it comes to facilities. The only other club that rivals would be Arlington, but they have to split all of their fields among many more teams. The clubs that have to rely on FCPR are limited in a lot of ways sometimes having to deal with adult league stuff on top of limited space at times.

Catching up to weekend results and have to ask VDA, what happened? I thought the revolution was here and that it would be televised

BP needs time but still are you not a little dissapointed its not like it was mid-table Arlington here it was the Union "trainwreck" that handled most of your teams well this weekend

Congrats Union for shaking off the haters. Give MV a chance remember "total football" takes time too

Congrats to Union, absolutely. I for one did not expect the results to be what they were, especially for the two teams BP revamped essentially. VDA 09's everybody around here talks them up to be the best around and Union held them to a draw, and the 10's took one on the chin.

How many days a week does VDA play in the VSA area vs PW? PW is a hike so not sure we could stomach more than once a week.
