VDA

Not all BP but he does bring access and exposure towards USYNT. If a player wants in on that, he is one of the keys in the area.

For what?

Already VDA has Swanson (UVA) visiting games and recruited VDA players. Like UVA or not, but as a Virginia school this is good news for many young girls. Previously this was nearly impossible due to the sour nature of a coach and that university. Also BP has done a lot for USYNT considerations. He's building, it's been less than a year... be ready

1. UVA has yet to make the ACC tourney for years.
2. UVA is a PHENOMENAL school - but a medium soccer college (for women)
3. Kids recruited to UVA from VA do not get high dollar scholarships.
4. Not so sure about BP and USYNT - that might be a years bullet on his resume. I believe he may have burned his bridges there.
5. VDA will be a success because of players and not because of BP. They were well on their way before he tainted the pool. Flat WRONG

PS - No one knows why the other posts were removed.

The fee is all inclusive. BP connections is not for free. Everyone is a sponsor to the kid sent to USYNT Camp and thus helps the club with the propaganda.

how? He's not a coach there and I believe he has fallen out of favor. He has no more pull than any other coach.

Only reason UVA has recruited a top talent from VDA is because another coach isn't there anymore. Same reason the posts were always taken down. Not going to say who because I want this thread to stay alive. If you're a Virginia girl, going to UVA is a big deal, like it or not. Clemson is bottom tier this year, would you say they're not worth going to? Obviously not. Some girls don't want to go to California to play and having just VT as your gateway to ACC and be in Virginia (think in-state tuition) was silly when UVA is 2 hours away. Point is BP has already changed the culture for the better as has ML. More VDA girls are being called to USYNT and actually starting, not just camps or ID sessions. Not 100% BP, but the parents have notice the shift to getting more USYNT spots than before.

If your goals is great soccer and in state tuition - you should be focusing on VT not UVA. For the past 3 years UVA has been going down quickly (below VT) in soccer. Remember folks - if your GOAL is soccer and in-state - focus on VT

Someone has an axe to grind, every post you have made is trying to take shots at someone who has not been at VDA for over a year now. If you knew anything about VDA you would know that UVA were at practices when he was there.
Also Clemson, Florida State, VT, Stanford and Wake Forest are ACC schools. All had commits prior to new staff. BP is building off of what was already solid and he is doing a great job at that.

Are they referring to his former role(s) on the USYNTeams?

BP is an area scout, has been for a while. Now he is in the ECNL he cannot scout ECNL matches. His recommendations will carry some weight, beyond getting the players seen in regional training camps it is up to YNT staff to select a roster

Guess you didn't read "recruited by UVA" part. That's ok.

What is that guy saying? UVA has NEVER EVER been at a practice and maybe once been to a game until this past year. LOL Mental

Some people tried to deny this, he is in fact an area scout.

This has been a really bad attempt at trolling VDA.

DD has practiced at VDA with UVA present. Less than 2 years ago, they were looking at a player who is now at VT.
