Don’t kid yourself. He was run out of office by his own party.

No truer words.

+1
I love the revisionist fiction being spun that he selflessly and thoughtfully decided to step down. Riiiiiight…

I love the Republicans getting upset about it.

OTC, we are laughing at you people and your “heroic, selfless” blather. You actually believe your own nonsense!

And you support a rapist, convicted felon, insurrectionist, rambling, walking liar.

Yea. Hunter Biden for President!

What an incredibly stupid response on so many levels...and you thought it was clever? Go work on your retorts so your IQ isn't questioned.

Hunter Biden wouldn't have had a chance to even BE the nominee, you speed bump. Meanwhile, being those thing is a prerequisite for Republicans.

DP.

Why not?

I would vote for Hunter.

I disagree. Trump’s convention speech was a complete disaster. The convention was a total clown show. JD Vance has no experience and nobody actually knows what it is that he stands for since he changes his stance so much. The GOP wanted Joe to stay in the race. Kamala can speak coherently about abortion rights, J6 and Project 2025.

None of which the voting public considers their pressing issues. LOL. her candidacy is a joke. Cannot wait for the debate. And it turns out the instincts of JD Vance were correct.

Her candidacy has been all of 8 minutes and you are calling it a joke.

Yes. Based on her past performance.

Really? You think you just fell out of a coconut tree?

It’s so incredibly strange how you keep using this phrase again and again. I assume you’re not from the US?

Person, it's from a speech of hers quoting her mom, turned into a meme, maybe you should check social media sometimes.

Bye Bye Brandon!

This has been the game plan for years now. Everything has been focused on Biden. The “I did that” stickers in gas pumps and “Let’s Go Brandon” signs. Now the “LGB” stickers will have to be peaked off the bumpers of emotional support pickups.

It will be interesting to see how the GOP’s game plan changes.

I'm going with the Dems picking Hillary.

Kamala is so not popular. She just had a big meeting with donors. They hung up on her, lol. As AOC clearly expressed, the elite donors do not want Kamala. She's terrible at politics. She's polling terribly in swing states.

The Dems are in so much trouble.

Hillary already lost to Trump once, not thanks. I like my candidates who can win.

Hillary actually DID win. The election was stolen and we all know it.

Are you denying it wasn’t stolen?

Are you an election denier? Seems to me you’re a danger to democracy. Time to call the FBI, people like you start riots and insurrections like 2020

Hahahahahaha
That woman is a moron. She will do nothing but embarrass herself. She will fall out of that coconut tree for sure.

Ummmm no. I’m a lawyer who actually watched Senate Judiciary Hearings. She may not pass the “do you want to drink beer with her” test. And that could be an issue. Hoping her time as VP has honed some of her softer skills. But, she is most definitely not stupid or inarticulate. In fact, she is very, very sharp. Ask Beer Bong Brett if you don’t believe me.

And I will enthusiastically go out to get votes for Harris.

Harris will always be herself - which is a bad temper, no manners, ill fitting pantsuits and faux pearls. The "face" she puts on for the public is who she is. She will never get the votes with it.

WHY AM I NOT FIFTY POINTS AHEAD???

Half the country is a “basket of deplorables” .

About dropping out of the race and endorsing Sen Obama :

“We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. You know I just, I don't understand it,"

Nope, that is not what Hillary said.

Here, read the full quote to the end:

We are living in a volatile political environment. You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?

[Laughter/applause]

The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people — now how 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric. Now, some of those folks — they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America. But the other basket — and I know this because I see friends from all over America here — I see friends from Florida and Georgia and South Carolina and Texas — as well as, you know, New York and California — but that other basket of people are people who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures, and they’re just desperate for change. It doesn’t really even matter where it comes from. They don’t buy everything he says, but he seems to hold out some hope that their lives will be different. They won’t wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroine, feel like they’re in a dead-end. Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well.

So she was same *some* of Trump's supporters were in the basket of deplorables. From what we see of the Oathkeepers, the racism and misgyny, she wasn't wrong.

But more to the point, at no time did she say "half the country" were deplorable. Never. That is a right wing half-truth that they managed to get stuck into the lore of that campaign.

Are you one of those people who said that Trump told millions of Americans to inject bleach into their veins? Just curious.

Sure, keep making fun of Kamala and calling her stupid, a moron, etc. Every woman has had the experience of being sh*t on in the workplace while her inept male colleagues get a pass. If the worst that you can say about Kamala is that she laughs too much that’s fine with me. Trump is a sick man who assaults and insults women. This is a man who slept with a porn star while his wife was pregnant. This a man who has cheated throughout three marriages. This is a man who laughs about sexual assault “grab them by the p**sy!” This is the man responsible for taking away our right to control our own bodies! Any woman who votes for Trump needs to have her head examined.

That alone is a massive turn off to a huge number of voters. She's never known what it is like to be a mother of her own kids and had to make sacrifices to make a career and family work.

A presidential candidate who doesn't have kids is just unelectable in this country. It's the way it is.

Yeah the thing I think about when I consider George Washington is how he never had to make any sacrifices for his family.

How do you know why she didn't have kids, you f.cking ghoul?

DP
The why isn’t relevant. It’s not even mentioned in PP’s post.

Yes, it is. Because if it's an infertility issue, people very much relate to that. And considering Project 2025 is doing away with IVF, she will remind women, no worries.

Shutting the barn door after the horse has escaped is selfless?

He may have cost the Dems a presidency and the country a democracy by being a stubborn fool. This is a last-ditch attempt to save downballot races

No big name Democrat is going to run against the potential first woman of color President, particularly one who has been serving as VP and has the endorsement of President Biden. No one.

Now it's all about the VP pick.

That’s easy. Stable, boring white male with a solid moderate record. Probably as a Governor. Preferably of a swing state. Besides the Governor piece, they’ll chose Biden, but three decades younger. So, Roy Cooper or Shapiro. Bayshear is interesting, but Vance is also going for the Appalachian hick vote (after writing a book bashing Appalachian hicks for not getting out and going to an Ivy like he did— someone explain that to me), so I don’t think he helps.

I would LOVE Gretchen Whitmer, and she could help in the Midwest. But no way we get two women.

Would also like Pete Buttigieg. But unlike Cooper or Shapiro, he has no constituency.

VP needs to be a straight, white, hetero male.

The economist ran an article over a year ago saying there is no other national electable candidate. Dem party headliners are all niche, and would represent “First Edition” Presidents: First Woman, First Gay, First Jewish, Firsf Asian, etc… which our right leaning country is not going to go with. When Obama ran, the alternative was McCain who was outstanding in my eyes (though Palin definitely raised the stakes).

Of course the GOP is down with First Felon, but partly it’s because they consider a no crime: trying to hide his affair, which many probably sympathize.

OT, but if McCain chooses anyone rational, he wins that election, IMO.

My point was it was okay to run Obama because he was way riskier but the alternative was not catastrophic

Better than Biden, but not good enough. She needs to get on stage and debate Trump.

He’ll eat her alive. Sad but true!

Trump? Harris was a DA. He should be s**ting his depends. He is old and really inarticulate. He should be worried but like most US born white old men, he is completely overconfident.

This. The racism and sexism of these posters is ridiculous. Kamala is a badass lawyer, former district attorney of the country-state CA. She will eviscerate Trump in any debate. But go ahead and continue underestimating her.
