You think American swing voters will send not one, but two women to the White House? Bottle that starry-eyed optimism and sell it. |
Agreed. This pick has to be a man. And probably a white one. |
They can’t both be from California. |
She’s really unpopular. Not happening. |
I hear you but he’s anti-choice. |
Yea absolutely not. |
First wife problems |
+1 Someone else said (can’t find the comment) that she’s not smart. That’s not true, she’s smart. Not a scholar or a genius, but smart. But she doesn’t connect with people in the way that this populist climate demands. We’ve seen her do the hard-a*s routine in the Kavanaugh hearings. We know she can prosecute. But we don’t know if she can inspire the best and brightest to join her team and stay there (DC rumors suggest not), and we don’t know if she can build the relationships and coalition needed to be more than just a one-term Trump buffer. She memes well but meme isn’t a personality. FWIW her boss doesn’t do that charisma thing well either, and he’s also been a one-term Trump buffer. Inspiring the best and brightest to join her team matters. Who would agree to be her VP except someone who wants no taint of the investigation that will surely follow into the Biden admin and perceived coverup of his decline? No one with designs on 2028 POTUS race, and with a strong chance at it, would want the VP role in 2024. |
It actually is her problem if that’s how voters perceive her tenure. |
Mitch Landrieu would be a good pick in that vein. |
That’s not even a woman problem. An American swing voter isn’t sending a CA/NY ticket to the White House. |
Kelly is not anti-gun. He owns a gun and is former military. Believing in gun control measures is not anti-gun. |
I like him too. Being young is also good--here is the future, and he's a good contrast to Vance. |
She’s not concerned with MAGAS. |
