Well, teachers’ views aren’t considered, either. You can choose to work with teachers, or you can view them as the enemy. I’ve always held the belief that working together is preferable, but you do you. If hostility toward all teachers because -some- teachers get SACC placement works for you, then okay. |
I’m sure you’ve never supported teachers, so it’ll make no difference, All set! |
Look at the PPs: *I wish they would have done this on Fridays so we could get a jump start on the weekend. * Given most parents who telework do so on Fridays, and parents who would want more family time would benefit from early Friday’s [sic] |
So you can use the at-school option. |
Nope. I am the person who stated this on the first or second thread of this page. Pure speculation. A lot of people agreed with me - parent and teachers. And honestly, I wouldn't want to do training for my job on a Friday afternoon, why should teachers have to do it then just because it's convenient for you and me? |
Kids in a cafeteria overseen by subs? hopefully people complain to VDOE about inadequate staffing if that's the plan |
Working “together” means that what parents need is taken into consideration. Your version of “together” doesn’t seem to include that. |
Probably at cost to parents and “space available” prioritized for teachers kids. The school board needs to be voted out starting with Ms. “Parents will adjust”! |
All parents are asking is that we have a continuous school schedule. That is it. How are we supposed to "work together" when FCPS keeps cutting class days? |
Gotcha, parents will continue to punish teachers for decisions made by senior leadership. |
If it’s not instructional time those staffing requirements don’t apply. |
Where do you see “punish”? How is it “punishing” you to not give you support from resources were being asked to give elsewhere? Do you always feel victimized when someone doesn’t bend over backward for you? |
On balance this is going to come at a cost of, conservatively, $1,200 per household. So cut $1,200 per student out of requests for various things every year, and acknowledge the need to do so to meet FCPS decisions. That’s working “together” |
What are you talking about bending over backwards? Supporting teachers is generally not “being a Karen”, but maybe that is bending over backwards for you. |
Maybe if you’re doing outside care. We have received no numbers surrounding in-school activities offered. |
