Vassos noted, “My husband and I worked really, really, really hard to create a really nice life. And we did. And we ended up being really financially secure.”

As a result, Vassos explained, “So, I wanted somebody that was in the same place as me. Let’s face it, doing cool things in life often isn’t free. It often costs money. So I wanted a partner that had the same resources that I had.”

She's a liar and a hypocrite. I lost all interest when I found out about her dh's crimes. She's not any different from Erika Jane and Coach Shah on the Housewives. She profited off taxpayers money to get that bargain basement facelift and some fancy clothes and nice house. It's gross.

Yeah, this is really, really disgusting.

As an attorney who has handled schemes and scams for the government -- I'm done watching her.

Honestly I can't believe she'd discuss finances this way in light of what her husband did. If he didn't die before the case went to court, they probably would have lost a huge chunk of that 'hard-earned' wealth. And how much money could they have had if she felt the need to go work as a low-paid administrator after having been a SAHM for so long?

Cap'n Kim is probably hate-watching the show and whittling a tree branch into the SS Constitution.

😂😂😂😂
The accuracy, OMG

I liked Kim at first cuz he was in uniform. But I didn’t like his snappy demeanor when fixing the garbage disposal, his angry under the surface facial expressions and pouting about everyone not wanting to sign his song. Seemed like a control freak!

It seems like a strange comment in light of the charges against her husband. Could it be a case of she didn’t know how he was running his business?

I've always thought Guy &. Jonathan's stories were suspect. They both claim to have been blindsided by divorce requests.

I think Jordan can do a lot better than Joan.

I agree.

How about Jordan and Leslie from the Golden Bachelor as a couple?

I don't see it. He's too low-key for he, I think. Her ex is a flamboyant restauranteur. That's more her type.

Does anyone have a link detailing what her DH was implicated in? Thanks

If you look up John Vassos and FBI it pops right up.

He was loaning out millions, so they had quite a bit. He had already taken a plea, so was only awaiting sentencing. I don’t know what to think about Joan. Did she know? Did she think he was railroaded? Producers had to know about this. If she was their choice, I feel like they should have addressed it (maybe they will later in the show). Her comments as quoted from that podcast don’t sound great.

She may not have known at first, but she does now. So there really is zero excuse for giving smug interviews about your great finances when the money was from criminal sources.

Well, she isn't as savvy as famous actor or NFL star or something. She's not going to know how to deal with interviews to the extent she probably should.

I think that's just plain common sense. How can she not be mortified by what he did??

Anonymous wrote:Two different men with restraining orders, two? Come on! I never liked Guy and I’m not surprised by this news at all.

I always thought there was something unpleasant underneath Chock’s surface. I did not like that statement he made to the effect of “give me your vulnerability and I will give you everything.” Now his mom dies, which was apparently not a surprise, and he is gone for a couple of days? Mr “family is everything” isn’t staying home to be with his children and family as they grieve? 🚩 Also, when he said “ladies like the tush,” I really felt nauseated.

Pasquale has actually grown on me a bit. His background of growing up in difficult circumstances and his willingness to be silly on the dress up date changed my opinion. I’m not saying he’s right for Joan, but I like him.

Joan is great, but I think the producers made a big mistake choosing her for this season. They just had a season with “I lost the love of my life I can barely go on, but I’m doing it.” Her story is the same as Gerry’s. I think Joan is genuine, but it’s just a mistake to repeat that immediately. A divorcée or someone not so caught up in their grief, even someone who never married would have been better.

I also would not let Gerry within 100 miles of that set. All my homies hate Gerry! They missed an opportunity to bring some of the fun OG women back. Their dynamic was so fun. The guys are nice together, but it’s not the same. I’d rather see less of the dates and get Joan having wine with some of the girls talking about it all.

Dan was not very charismatic, but he seemed truly kind, family oriented, and willing to be spontaneous. I think Joan made a mistake sending him home. We always knew sweet. Charles L would not be the one, but I will miss his presence. I hope both of them find happiness off screen.

So now I’m Team Jordan.

Very embarrassed that I’m this invested but here we are

I really liked Dan, agree that he is kind and would be devoted. However, I do think his health issues might be a lot to take on for someone who not long ago watched her husband die after a painful illness. I'd be scared.

She keeps saying she wants someone to make her feel safe, whatever that means. Dan was not it. (as a woman, I don't understand the 'safe' comments.)

“Safe” means $$$$. If you ask me …..financial security.
