Men don't put up with this nonsense. We don't see edgy cod pieces secured with double-sided tape.

Cate Blanchett looks gorgeous. I don’t think she’s ever had a miss.

I liked both. Some people are just mad that she is thin now.

It really makes me wonder if that's it because in terms of "showing off skin, blah blah blah", this dress was actually restrained and tasteful compared to so many others. It fit her perfectly. It was sculptural and elegant. I loved it. And I thought the styling (the slicked back hair in particular worked) was fine too.

Listen, like what you like, but I thought this dress had WAY too many elements and the colors of her makeup made her look goth/dead. It has nothing to do with her being thin, I honestly don't care either way. I just want to see good fashion.

I did think the black version looked a lot better because of the way the top part was banded and also because the details read as a pretty silhouette instead of a mishmash of detail in the black, plus the mesh paneling is less obvious in the black. And yes, her makeup was better in the black.

I'm the PP you are responding to and I do actually agree with you on the makeup -- that I wish she had done differently.

Yeah, same. The white one just sort of looked uncomfortable and weird (not in a good way). I don't begrudge her losing weight or being rich or wearing whatever she wants! I really enjoy her work and hope she makes a lot more of it. I also do not personally like a lot of the clothes she's been wearing recently. I thought she looked really good in the black version of the dress.

Only reason I'm criticizing her designer and hair/makeup person is because she could've looked amazing.

I just started watching Mindy Project and loving it.

I doubt anyone is against her showing skin or being sexy, its just the wrong choice of gowns, not just one gown.

Rude af.

I was saying this to my husband as we were watching the show! The poor woman behind her was craning her neck to TRY and see around her....so rude to no even consider the fact that someone sitting behind her couldn't see. How self-absorbed . My husband was like if you're going to wear something like that at least let it be something that you can take off when you sit down.

I absolutely hate the corsage tops. So low class.

I love this look, especially the color!

Anonymous wrote:Now this I hate - Mindy Kaling in Vera Wang. I get she's excited about her body and wants to show it off -- no shade there, I get it. But the dress itself is hideous and her styling is very plasticky looking. She looks like a Bratz doll (sorry Mindy). I wish she'd gone super classic instead.

She changed into the same dress in black before presenting! So strange.

Changed again for the after party.

LOVE the after-party look on her.

LOVE the after-party look on her.

Her hair looks a gazillion times better after. Dress too.

I’m the Pi Phi colors poster and these are Orioles colors. You don’t see them together in fashion for a reason.

Counterpoint - if you've got that body, you can wear anything and make it look incredible

+1. I actually love this on her. The fit of the skirt at her waist is stunning, as is the color.
