Second boy was a junior. Both were suspended through the end of the academic year. Both were allowed to participate in end of the year/graduation activities. No college acceptances rescinded.

I don't have a kid at sta or landon but don't see how one can compare the Landon series of incidents including slampigs, GH, Duke and Sat cheating to the BB gun incident. BB gun was stupid but I would argue Landon over reacted. College agreed and accepted the kid. Don't see colleges accepting a kid who cheated on SATs or victimized girls. I bet both Duke and UVA would love a do-over on accepting members of the Landon LAX culture.

Colleges might accept these kids if Landon doesn't make note of bad behavior in their transcripts. These boys are lax players--one of them is an outstanding athlete.

Did Landon place any slampig information(or other information) on transcripts or is that hush hush? This could be yet another national story about Landon.

George Huguely has nothing to do with any Landon lax culture. As a parent who knew George quite well when he went to Landon, he seemed a like a very nice, well mannered boy. He did lots of community service while at Landon. While at landon he had no discipline record.

GH has nothing to do with Landon but rather the finger pointing should fall upon his family and the UVA lacrosse culture. Anyone who knows anything about UVA lacrosse, those boys down there have been drinking and doing drugs for years and Dom Starsia and the UVA administration has turned a blind eye to it. Just wait till that story hits the media.

GH was 4 years removed from Landon. It has nothing to do with Landon. And for those who don't know, there was also 2 kids on Duke's lacrosse team during the Duke Lax Scandal who attended Georgetown Prep and two from Bullis. Everyone seems to forget that. I guess those boys are innocent too since they didn't go to Landon.

He was also a well known drinker but Landon also turned a blind eye to that. There is a lot of drinking in the US especially among the LAX players but the current coach does nothing about it.

As for the previous poster who is attempting to blame Landons lacrosse program as a reason for the UVA - Love tragedy, you really need some serious help.

Pot and alcohol problem in the US, especially with athletes. While this may be a problem at other high schools as well, Landon hasn't seriously tackled the problem. Even worse, punishment is not applied evenly. Sons of Board members got off scot free after they were caught. Also, in-school suspension information is not shared with colleges.

Amen. This is the most level-headed quote anyone has written. It was his family who failed to discipline him, not his four-year high school.

So, the slampigs have gotten out of this fix. All they have to do is enjoy the summer and assume all will be forgotten in the fall.

Landon needs to get rid of these kids. They need to relieve the MS head of his job--he failed time and time again to discipline these boys. I am not too familiar with the lax coach, but if what pp says is even a bit correct, he is way out of line. All ruining what remains of the schools rep.

Don't give us this line. Driving the coach's car as a surprise. A coach 's woman getting a kiss. Not a hug in victory but stating and executing. Big blowhard. That's the point. Just for those 2 examples he should have been disciplined by Landon. Didn't the Landon captain pay for/hire the stripper and host the party at HIS house?

Some on this board have concerns that their DD's might not be laxiitute types and end up being approached by or dating 1 of the betting pool guys. How's you like it if your daughter dated the prep tea baggers? Oh wait. Prep had them leave.

I mentioned the coach because like the UVA coach they look the other way when these underaGe boys are breaking the law and then wonder why thing go wrong. Not only is it not reported that 2 of the Duke lax players went to Prep and 2 to Bullis, but another fact that seems to be left out of the media stories is that it was another Landon student that turned in the fantasy league kids.....I guess that wasn't salacious enough to include?
