Langley must be really down, compared to their past teams. |
Sounds like you summed up the Yorktown parents perfectly. Gotta love when they scream Wheels or want a foul called on every play. |
Not saying there aren't critiques to be made of Yorktown parents, but pretty sure the comment about "jerk parents" was referring to the Centreville parents. |
Langley is on the downfall as they lost most all their talent from last year, plus there coach is a train wreck and doesn’t do the team justice. Someone said it a while ago but it is a fact and verified she was the source of kids quitting and not coming back to the program.
Prediction is Langley at just a game over 500 for the season and knocked out in the first or second stage of regionals. They are not a threat at all |
I dare you to try coaching a high school girls lacrosse team. Parents have no idea the sacrifices and time coaches make to coach a team and to get paid pennies. Ungrateful and hateful toxic parent at its finest. |
Have you ever heard of rebuilding? When you lose a big class you rebuild, idiot. |
The Langley coach was a problem at W-L, sometimes berating the team even after a 10 point victory. Kids have left both programs because of her, as have assistant coaches. Sure, all teams need to rebuild occasionally, but that job is easier if the coach is at least somewhat likable. Coaching high school is not just about X’s and O’s, it’s about motivating and making the sport enjoyable. |
Bless your heart.. No dog in the fight, but if a rebuild process means losing a big class to multiple players quitting because of the coach, then thiss is a new concept that will be interesting to see how it works out. |
Ok, Coach L. Burke.... |
The facts are the Langley coach killed their program starting from last year when she took over, again, ask anyone close to the program. I get rebuilding and I get the time and sacrifice it takes, but if you were not s close to the program then i suggest you take a bake seat and be quiet because you have no clue what your talking about. The pp who commented about her killing the W&L program is correct, the pp about how no assistants want to work with her after a year is correct. Why do you think she is alone this year on the sideline, besides a sub par goalie coach and jv coach. |
I was there as well. It was a great, hard-fought first half. They both looked like really solid teams. Yorktown definitely wasn't at the level they were last year, but they played a good first half. The second half was a different story altogether. Centreville made adjustments. Yorktown did not...except maybe changing the goalie once or twice. I really think Yorktown was just flat out outcoached. In the second half Centreville dominated the draw and possession and and Yorktown couldn't figure it out. When Yorktown did have the ball Centreville did a nice job of shutting them down and the Centreville goalie played great. I think Yorktown also had a few too many unforced turnovers, bad passes, dropped passes. Yorktown also had a few cards and Centreville capitalized on the advantage. I also thouhgt the announcer did a great job, was high-energy and was complimentary to both teams. I thought both teams' parents were fine. I didn't hear anything "jerky" from either side where I was sitting. The weather sucked...big time. But I got to watch some good lacrosse. |
That right there is funny!! |
The poster just said they must be down compared to past seasons. That is a fact. They lost a ton of really good talent and the replacement talent is not at the same level. Call it rebuilding or whatever you want. But just because the truth hurts is no reason to attack and call them an idiot. However...not surprised a Langley parent would post this. Stay classy y'all. |
Curious to read what happened? After the YHS destruction Battlefield appeared to be unstoppable. Curious what Robinson did to score 16. |
All I can think of is Taurean Prince‘s answer after Baylor lost. |
