What happens to Edwina in the book? Does she get married? Or do we find out next season?

The book is quite different. Violet invites a random vicar to dinner to round out the table and Edwina falls in love with him.

Colin looks like Bobby Brady. And in Season 2 the makeup people made him look kinda orange.

He was supposed to be “tanned” from his Southern European adventures.

NP. Don’t yuck our yum! I think Anthony is super hot. I love a good, intense stare (in book/on tv/in moves). Creepy in real life but gets me every time on screen.

I just finished it and thought it was fine. I read the books last summer after the first season came out. The series was definitely steamier then the books. Most have one, maybe two sex scenes and it always 2/3 of the way. I don’t think Quinn is that great of a writer. The series gives me pretty people giving each other long stares and great scenery and costumes so I’ll happily watch.
I hope the skip or majorly rewrite Benedict’s story cause there is a lot wrong there. (Kinda hoping Mdme. Delacroix’s first name is Sophie, it would be an easy way “fix” the story)
I want to see Francesca’s that was my favorite. Looking forward to Collin/Penelope and Eloise’s stories. I could skip Gregory and Hyacinth, I feel like Quinn ran out of ideas by those books.

As a POC myself I do love the diverse casting.

Francesca on the show gets zero air time. She was away filming another project actually. How can you possibly be interested in her? Haven’t seen anything that would make me interested in her! It’s like she doesn’t exist. The disappearing sister. Like the younger sister, Judy, on the Steve Urkel show.

The books are so repetitive. And there's always a scene where our the romantic male lead pushes down the woman’s dress to fondle her. Every. Single. Time.

Even in this fantasy regency London there is no way Eloise (or Penelope) would’ve been allowed to galavant all over town without a chaperone. Never.

They show Eloise’s maid. I assume Pen had a maid or paid off hers. Her mom doesn’t seem to care

I like most sex scenes but I could hardly watch Daphne and Simon. Super hot but in a gay sort of way thirty year old looking man with a sickly looking child with whack eyebrows and stupid bangs? No thanks.

I read a lot of steamy romance novels that can get me going, but I laughed at those scenes. Really bad.

Season2 scenes were a bit better but only marginally, and at least Antony wasn't giving me huge gay vibes like the duke (though I know the actor who plays Antony is gay). I honestly didn't realize he was gay until someone mentioned it.

The Duke, oth, total gay vibes from the beginning. He's nice to look at, but I can't get turned on by a man who gives me gay vibes.

Ha!! I totally agree! The Duke and Daphne were so gross. Zero chemistry. Duke was obviously gay.

Totally agree. The only show that does sex scenes well is Outlander. But most shows aren’t courageous enough to do it well.

I want to see the adaption of Francesca’s story from the book.
