Obese women who look put-together

I think of a teacher I knew. She wore long loose and flowy skirts and dresses or midi length and always looked so beautiful. She accessorized well and used beautiful scarfs in her hair a lot; tied around a low bun, as a headband, etc.

Art teacher, right?

That doesn't work for everyone's style. Scarfs in her hair?!

Not if you have heavy legs.

Especially if you have heavy legs

I need to lose 100 pounds, and even in nice clothing, I look frumpy and sloppy. I'm sure there are tricks to this, maybe nicer makeup or a good haircut or something? How can I look more like them?

Heres some inspo I like. Overweight women looking good:

Only 3 of these are flattering.

They all look terrible. Really bad.

She is more bold in wearing form fitting clothing which helps her look less frumpy (I'm 15-20lbs over weight and often foolishly try to cover my gut wit blousy tops that create a tent effect).

She needs to go up a size. Shapewear is supposed to smooth out your curves. It’s not meant to be worn as a corset!

I think lady #3 looks good.

Only 3 of these are flattering.

Oops my reply got buried in a quote. I think the woman in the third picture looks great. Number 4 is terrible.

Yeah, that can’t be healthy. If skinny jeans or jrg gongs are changing organ shapes, I can’t imagine what too tight shape wear could be doing.

The larger ladies I know who look good mostly wear tailored jackets/blazers. I just can't do it when it's 90 degrees outside.

Yes, that is the best look for most but is tough on warm/hot days.

She always has on light, natural makeup, and tends to wear dresses that are solid colors in a-line or maybe fit and flare type cute, knee length, and often a cropped cardigan or blazer with it. And often a nice eye catching necklace.
I would hate wearing dresses every day but clearly she’s decided that works for her.

This is your answer, OP. Dresses. They are always more flattering than pants.

Obese poster here. It depends on the dress and the person's body type. I have a VERY large stomach (it is the first place i gain weight) and look terrible in many styles of dresses. So I don't often wear dresses other than when I have to wear business attire. Then, I wear a shift dress and jacket. Because that looks good on me.

What! no? Blazers make large women look like giant tree trunks.
