+100 You can try all you want to please men, but it will never be enough. Don’t get work done in the hope of attracting a man. Don’t not get work done because you think a man might not like the look of it. |
| "Honey, I'm sorry you hate yourself so much. I love you just the way you are' |
lol man some men are such judgmental jerks. I’m so glad my husband isn’t like this. |
| My dh says he hates so much makeup, but seems to love it when I wear makeup. Guys just don't know. |
| Insecure and showy (and you can always tell, even men) |
Now excuse me while I beat off looking at Instagram babes while judging them for being plastic. |
Men always tell me how much they love that I’m all natural. I’ve been having these procedures done for over a decade. They’re idiots. |
+1. |
+1. Yes my DH takes two weeks to notice a new haircut or glasses. |
What procedures? Just curious. |
Botox and filler. They tend to make a particularly big deal about how my lips are so natural, while making fun of women who get lip filler. I get lip filler. I don’t fault men for being dumb, but I’m not impressed by people who try to compliment me by putting others down. |
| I think poorly done work looks bad. I had no idea so many women had Botox until I heard a group of women talking about it at the office. They are all good looking women who I would not have guessed had any work done. |
+1 never ceases to amaze me how people will trash the stuff I’ve gotten done in front of me. Yeah you’re a real Sherlock Holmes. Nothing getting past you. |
| My wife gets Botox and I don’t notice except she looks more awake or brighter or something. I think other men who complain about it usually don’t know what they are talking about. |

My DH was against me doing it (not for money reasons, just because like a lot of men he feared a fake look.” I eventually got it without telling him, and I kid you not, on the preceding weeks and months he said at least 3 times “I’m so lucky! You look so young!”
Eventually I told him and now he doesn’t push back. |
