Men: how do you feel about women who get regular botox, fillers, etc?

Of course men don’t want women who look like they’ve gotten bad fillers. But they do in fact want women who look young and well-rested, and for that to just have happened by magic.

Men always say that they hate makeup, but then as soon as they see a woman without makeup, they say she looks old, ugly, or tired.
They like loads of makeup, just as long as it's the kind of makeup that doesn't look like makeup. They like the kind of makeup that takes a lot of time and effort to apply. The kind of makeup that women might find artistic or, heaven forbid, fun, they hate. Also, if a woman responds to any of this saying that she applies whatever makeup she applies for herself alone, men say that she's lying. If thy believe her, they'll say she's vain. If a woman says that she applies it for men, then she's pathetic.

Moral of the story? Ladies, do whatever you want.

+100

You can try all you want to please men, but it will never be enough.

Don’t get work done in the hope of attracting a man.

Don’t not get work done because you think a man might not like the look of it.

lol man some men are such judgmental jerks. I’m so glad my husband isn’t like this.

My dh says he hates so much makeup, but seems to love it when I wear makeup. Guys just don't know.

Insecure and showy (and you can always tell, even men)

Now excuse me while I beat off looking at Instagram babes while judging them for being plastic.

Men always tell me how much they love that I’m all natural.

I’ve been having these procedures done for over a decade.

They’re idiots.

Just noticing the fact that it’s been done is kind of a turn-off, honestly. Bring on the lines in the face — I have them too, let’s count ours together

+1.

Men know so little about these things. And a bunch will have comments in this thread about what they claim not to like but actually don’t even know what they’re looking at.

+1. Yes my DH takes two weeks to notice a new haircut or glasses.

Botox and filler.

They tend to make a particularly big deal about how my lips are so natural, while making fun of women who get lip filler. I get lip filler.

I don’t fault men for being dumb, but I’m not impressed by people who try to compliment me by putting others down.

I think poorly done work looks bad. I had no idea so many women had Botox until I heard a group of women talking about it at the office. They are all good looking women who I would not have guessed had any work done.

+1 never ceases to amaze me how people will trash the stuff I’ve gotten done in front of me. Yeah you’re a real Sherlock Holmes. Nothing getting past you.

My wife gets Botox and I don’t notice except she looks more awake or brighter or something. I think other men who complain about it usually don’t know what they are talking about.

My DH was against me doing it (not for money reasons, just because like a lot of men he feared a fake look.” I eventually got it without telling him, and I kid you not, on the preceding weeks and months he said at least 3 times “I’m so lucky! You look so young!”

Eventually I told him and now he doesn’t push back.
