I don't think we even need cops for it. Flash some lights and provide video evidence of the infraction. Get a ticket. Double / in the mail if they don't stop. Start impounding those Range Rovers. |
Okay, I laughed at this. Well done. But NGL, I actually do kind of feel that way when driving my > $100k Benz. If I'm in the mid-range SUV, not so much. |
It's ok, I practice the reverse. You will always lose a game of chicken with me when I'm in my "city-loved" Toyota. I don't care about a scratch on mine. I know how you feel about the Benz.

DC tags here - I am not doing this in the left lane, I am driving the speed limit in the right lane!!! Because I am actually following the speed limit. And I am STILL tailgated by obnoxious drivers in oversized vehicles who are Very Important. |
Spoken like someone who was never used a Metro escalator. 10 seconds? Closer to a minute. |
Yes, it’s nuts they haven’t learned this universal rule of the road. Guess we need more explicit signs. “Stay in the right lane, morons!” |
This is hilarious coming from the people who ignore the actual universal rule of SPEED LIMITS |
Well I'm not tailgating you. I give people time to pass. I only get annoyed when you're NOT passing someone or you stay in the left lane and don't get back over. I don't drive in the left lane except to pass someone. |
"Universal rule"? LOLOLOLOLOLOL. If you want to be speed limit enforcer please stay out of the left lane so you don't get someone killed. THANKS! |
Same. I don't tailgate and I don't drive in the left lane until I'm passing someone. Learn how to drive, morons. It's not that hard. STAY RIGHT, PASS LEFT. |
I drive at the speed that I'm comfortable at, not to be a "speed limit enforcer". This might be hard for you to hear, but: it's not all about you. |
Drivers who speed and tailgate think other people are going to get people killed.
There should be a self-awareness portion of the drivers license test. You'd fail. |
Not the PP, but I'm picturing someone who missed the opportunity to get at the end of the line to turn, so instead is trying to force his way in near the front of the line, instead of just going straight through the light and turning around. I see that happen all the time -- it's right up there with people who know that long line of cars on a highway is waiting to exit, but instead will drive right up to the exit and the force his way over. As for the PP who responded, while technically holding up blocks of traffic to turn left is not illegal, there is a reason a lot of city streets prohibit left turns during rush hour. It really truly is disruptive to the safe flow of traffic, and dangerous for pedestrians who happen to be in the crosswalk when a driver focused on waiting for a break in oncoming traffic flings the car over. I was taught that on gridded streets with no dedicated turn lanes or green arrows, it's more polite to just make a series of right turns until you're pointed in the direction you want to go. I can't wait for the day GPS software includes "no left turns" in the route settings. |
| Yes, they became more self centered and forgot how to drive. Win win for area traffic. |
| I thought that elective surgeries were off the table during the pandemic. But lobotomies have been plentiful in the past 15 months. People need to be convicted of murder for the way they drive. |
