What exactly does it mean “the children are in the system?” Does it mean the children are not living with them? They are but workers come out to check on the children. Sorry, just confused |
He said HIS other kids are in the system. Is he the father of her other children? |

Good question. She's 38 and appears to have 6 children ranging in age. Maybe they've been together for years. Maybe not. She has a long history of drug use and trauma as noted in her DC criminal records.
My guess is the baby died from SIDS because more common with premature infants and the father said this baby was premature in the interview. The infant should not have been allowed to leave the hospital with these 2 parents. Premature babies need extra special care and awareness, we are still in a pandemic and dad has his kids in the system already. Not sure why the social worker, who I presume was the lady.visitor didn't INSIST on seeing the baby when mom put her off. Obviously she was making a house call for a reason. |
I though the social worker called rather than coming in person? But the baby was dead already so the delay didn’t change the outcome. I agree that the baby should not have been discharged to these parents. However, it’s hard finding foster homes and the hospital was probably seen as a Covid risk to the baby. Hopefully DCUM will step up and become foster parents. |
Yes. It's quite hard for a healthy sober mother to kill a healthy child while cosleeping. But my guess is this was not a sober mother and this probably was not a very healthy child either given s/he ws born to a drug-addicted parent. |

It's hard to know what happened and maybe even she doesn't know what happened if her drug problem is as bad as it seems.
He could have died in a cosleeping accident, or died of SIDS or something else because he was a medically fragile preemie. Or, given her history of violence and drug use, she could have killed him by shaking him when he was crying. |
+1 No one will really know what happened until the baby is found. Regardless this woman needs to be incarcerated and get drug treatment if for no other reason than to stop having children. She is clearly unfit to mother a young child. |
| She has 5 other children. Two are grown. One is in jail. One had a baby herself senior year of high school. Children's fathers are locked up too except the oldest daughters, she is the one with the baby. Years of drug use and court ordered in patient, out patient & Community Connections type therapy. Supervised probation for years until sometime last year. Lots of ups and downs over the years but this is falling over the cliff. What is the next step? There is a dead baby disposed of in a dumpster. |
| He didn’t die from SIDS. She rolled over on him while co-sleeping. At least that’s what she said she did. |
+1. Yes, it is controversial, but I wholeheartedly agree. |
If she was high, she might not know what happened, but say whatever she thinks the authorities want to hear. Completely different demographic, but we knew an affluent woman who had a seizure while holding her baby. She came to, still holding him and put him in his bouncer. Hours later her DH found him dead. She became convinced she had dropped him or shaken him to death or asphyxiated him during the seizure. Only the nanny cam showed she hadn’t. But she had the money for a nanny cam and other things that could tell an unquestionable truth. This baby was a preemie. AA babies also have a higher infant mortality rate EVEN when their mothers are MC/UC and do everything right. Yet, few people are willing to believe this baby might have died from SIDS and the mother panicked or acted out of long-term mental illness to hide his body. |

I'm a PP and I do think the baby could have died from SIDS. Her description of the baby not breathing in the bed sounded like it could be that or due to other Preemie complications.
She loses me when she placed his body in a car seat and threw him in the trash. Sounds like she kept the presumed social worker or visiting nurse from coming into her place to check on the baby. All in the opposite direction of getting help. It's truly heartbreaking and depressing. |
I couldn't hear the interview. Does this guy think child services somehow keeps track of all of his kids? Not very bright. Can you imagine being the person who took that call? |
How do you know all of this? |
Publicly available information. Her courts cases with DC and one of her fb accounts that reads like a diary. |
