What's with all the positive Covid cases in staff at Williamsburg?

I heard the staff reports were fake news. Repeats of the same report. But the student reports are real. Bunch of students being quarantined. 7th grade I think.

I would be grateful if APS could give us accurate data.

Good to know. None of our 6th grade kids or friends have gotten a notice.

The "fake news" about staff is a rumor on AEM. More to come.

What is your source for this information?

Yea. This data is really rough. Seems like it goes right into the system without any scrub.

Could also be a special Ed classroom. I’ve had up to 5 adults in my room before.

Or teachers eating together in a staff room at lunch? I don't know how they handle lunch there.

This exactly. They should eat lunch outside.

I find it so interesting that none of this "concern" seems to be coming from WMS parents, particularly not parents of students attending WMS in person. As a WMS parent whose child does attend in person, I am not worried about this. I am comfortable that if my child was potentially exposed, we would have been notified. All of my child's teachers who have been teaching in person are still teaching in person. No one has started a discussion of this in the WMS parents FB group. The person who started it on AEM is a fake account so who knows who they are or what their agenda is, but they've admitted that they are not a WMS family. None of the people getting agitated in the discussion appear to be WMS parents.

It's almost as if this is more about people using it to advance their own agendas than about any true risk to WMS students.

WMS parent with in person kids here. What are they saying about it? Is it true that there isn’t a staff outbreak? Are the student positives real? I have Th/Fri kids who were not pulled out today. But I know a bunch were. It generally is good to me that they are following the rules and excluding close contacts.

You mean people who desperately need to believe their very public crusade against opening schools was the right thing to do?

A friend who works at school just told me there is NOT a staff outbreak. Didn’t know anything about student positives either.

100x this. They’re foaming at the mouth just waiting for an outbreak to shut it all down. Clearly they have way too much time on their hands.

For what it's worth, I posted both this thread and also posted the one on AEM about this issue. My kid isn't at Williamsburg and I think I said that in both threads. I don't always follow AEM but I sometimes do, and I rarely post there. (I don't have some other account there. I don't really know who is who there. I don't like facebook.)

I have been checking the APS dashboard recently to figure out whether to send my hybrid kid back into school after spring break. We did not last week but did this week. As part of checking the numbers I saw all the Williamsburg staff hits and thought it was a big number. If we had the same number at my kid's school, I would wish that someone would draw my attention to it because I don't normally check the APS dashboard source stats.

I don't have some hidden agenda and my kid is in hybrid not 5 day DL. But it serves me right for trying to do something nice for you guys, next time I will just shut up ha!

Thanks for showing us just how anti-data you really are.

Well, it’s been proven that the data is WRONG so . . .
