You do know lying and cheating are signs of mental health problems, right? Your wife deserves to know. It is horrible to treat her that way and you will regret it. Women don’t believe these stories because we were all young and hot once and not wasting our time at hotels with old married dudes. At a minimum an old married dude would have to be taking me somewhere nice.

That’s a good point. I don’t know anyone who sold out like this in their 20s or 30s. Not saying it doesn’t happen, but I don’t think it’s that common. Why waste time on a losing game when you can invest in being a winner.

I believe it. Years ago my boss had something going on with his assistant (he’d hired from his previous company—his wife showed up one day and was shocked to see her at our company). His wife got pregnant with #3, the assistant got engaged to her doormat boyfriend, our boss went running after her at a conference (how we laughed at this one.). And it all had a stupid boring ending.
