Why won't people address the massage shootings as the mental health issue rather than racism?

Most mass shooters aim indiscriminately - Las Vegas shooting, Columbine, etc.

But in cases where all the victims are of predominantly one ethnic group and the shooter is of a different ethnicity, you need to first look at ethnic/racial hatred. There's not much of another explanation.

Further, if it was due to mental illness, we should see mass shooters of other races/ethnicities. We know mental illness is prevalent in those populations too. But we don't!

Absolutely 100000000000% false. Belt way snipers were minorities. DC naval yard shooter was a minority. VA beach shooter was a minority. VA tech shooter s minority. For god's sake man, Emanuel Samson, a minority, shot up a church in TN specifically with the goal of shooting white people. In all of those cases the victims were predominantly white. Yet where's your discussion of race wrt those shootings?

Personally, do I think racism was involved in those shootings? Mostly no. Crazy gunmen are gonna kill who they come across first.

Get your head out of the sand. There are plenty of examples of minority shooters who've killed mostly white people, yet you choose to ignore for some reason.

Did you miss the video of the white OK teen who was shot multiple times by multiple cops after he put down his gun and stood still with his hands up?

We can cherry pick incidents to support any side.

I’d rather make the bold statement that everyone needs to do better, and the first step is admitting that mental health plays a role in these senseless crimes.

I think they are mostly Asian. I've seen police reports in Fairfax, and it seems to me that is the case. Remember when the owner of the Patriots was arrested in Florida? That was an Asian massage parlor. There was also talk of trafficking at that time.

Oh please. Emanuel Samson was taken into custody alive. Most mass shooters kills themselves. Stop cherry picking only what you want to hear.

This sort of reminds me of the IT nut job incel who after a lifetime of being rejected by women, of which he details in his manifesto, and then goes into a gym loaded down with ammo and guns and slaughters a bunch of people in the name of making things even.

I think what is getting lost in all of this, is that this massage parlor was more likely than not a human trafficking front. These women didn't deserve to die, they shouldn't have been there in the first place, but for the owners were taking advantage of their desperate circumstances, these women are living in what amounts to modern day sexual servitude.

Nothing wrong with getting your kicks, but honestly what kind of man with any sense of right/wrong frequents a place like that knowing you are supporting sex trafficking of women who have no other choice.

So of course it is going to attract those who have very warped, twisted and sadistic views of women and since there is very little chance the "Johns' will be arrested for solicitation, there is very little downside to pursing their predilection, a twisted person can go very far down the rabbit hole, which is what probably happened to this guy.

The owner who was killed was more than likely a human trafficker. Did they deserve to die? No they deserved to go to jail.

The man who committed this heinous crime was a client, he had a connection to this place, he went over the bend. He needs to be locked away for life. He committed a heinous crime against humanity.

Was it racially motivated, probably not. The owners of these places aren't screening their customers for the potential of the "Johns" to later become violent homicidal maniacs.

Was it motivated by a strong hatred towards women, yes more than likely. Why else would someone be a regular at several of these types of places. This isn't someone who has a normal relationship with sex and women.

I am surprised there haven't been more instances like this those places are a ticking time bomb. These massage places operate all over the place in the DMV and I've yet to see anyone going in the front door. I assume they use the service entrances located in the backs of the strip mall stores.

Maybe this incident will encourage the DOJ to step up their enforcement efforts to do away with these places. Especially when they are nothing more than conduits for those trafficking in and exploiting vulnerable women.

Remember last year or so when several massage parlors in Rockville were shut down because they were human trafficking Asian women? I hope authorities and the media research all facets of this case. Who exactly were the women that serviced the shooter? Were they being held against their will? Why is there such a demand from white men seeking these kind of illegal services? Our country has a long history of white men using violence to eradicate things they have determined to be wrong. So far, it appears to me that this guy thought sex and porn were wrong, not all Asian women.
