Perhaps you're in different faculties? |
I don't think that is true. Fewer have been going. More have been going OOS to good STEM programs. |
| NP. I don't even like UVA and even I will say Georgetown is grossly overrated and UVA is in much better shape, both financially and for the future, than Georgetown. I third all the comments saying that Georgetown's best days are well behind it. |
Even the Ivies are full of other Ivy rejects. |
| Georgetown is not full of Ivy rejects, if so you can say the same about Cornell or even Brown. With that being said Gtown is a bit overrated. Unless it's SFS ; Nova students should save the money and go to UVA. If they have they money and just need to go Private Cornell, Emory, Vandy, Notre Dame , and (if they can get in) Duke are much better options. |
Colby is for Bowdoin rejects. Middlebury is for Amherst and Williams rejects. Colgate is for Middlebury rejects. Etc. |
Yes, it is. |
Agree. Also, there is a sizable group of local kids. A high percentage of Mongtomery County kids from W schools apply, for example, and they usually accept a couple from each school. |
LOL
Please. Georgetown is better than UVA, as well, but now you're just getting absurd. |
I have a hard time believing that, considering the number of students New England prep schools send to Harvard every year. |
Not true, I checked my MCPS school over a period of years and approximately 15-20% of seniors applied to Georgetown each year. |
Are you dense? We're talking about NOVA, not MCPS. Of course more MCPS students are applying because you don't have UVA in state. |
You can go to Uva from junior college. |
DP. I am a UVA alum and in my opinion you have a chip on your shoulder so big that we almost cannot see you. If I had to do it over again, I would go with Georgetown. I would have met a better class of people. |
Sorry UVA said no, I guess. |
