To compete amongst the best. That’s why girls prefer McLean to Arlington at the moment. Just wait until Arlington girls get ECNL then it’ll be a different environment.

Even if Arlington gets ECNL they will not carry a roster of 24-10 players. There is no team in the area that does that except for McLean. FCV doesn't do it either

Rumor is McLean 2007 will have Nadir next year. Get ready for a huge roster. And these will be8th and 9th graders. I don't think there will be 10 girls injured at a time allowing for player 22 to get to start a game.

What about 2006? Will they still have Brent or Nadir?

Getting accepted to an university and playing soccer is different than being recruited for soccer... I'm sure the bench players at McLean are getting recruited by DI teams like Duke and Georgetown...

Yes

Yea. We won. Yes, I only played 15 mins per game but D1 or D3 recruiter, I'm equally good as the starters, I just don't play. Would you like to see my professional game tape mix to prove it? Since U13, I've been able to scrape together 3 mins of game highlights.

Current McLean U19 team has D1 commits that haven’t always made the game day roster. Team has very competitive training environment, plays a lot of games, also has composite EDP games, and with player injuries a big roster isn’t as crazy as you might think

^^^This is the same sell you will get with FCV and Bobby P when he convinces your DD to be a PT player with his GA team-"all about the daily training environment".

Dear recruiter. I don't play but so you wont see a lot of game tape but I train with the starters or actually we have a rotation...so gimme that scholarship.

McLean's current U19 was formed years ago when there were only FCV and McLean in ECNL. These FCV and McLean teams are truly last teams with this kind of depth in NOVA. That quality of depth of player will never be replicated with the current level of dilution.

When there are 4 ECNL teams with 20 kids really doesn't stand out. Back when there were just two clubs being a sub meant you were still at least 1 of the top 40 kids in NOVA. Now, if you are a sub you're not even one of the top 80 kids in NOVA.

Moving forward, regardless of club, you need to be a starter to get any real attention from top programs and even then the same qualifiers apply, USNT experience, USNT Camp, USNT Training Centers.

Thank God there are more options. Starting ECNL at U13 and picking winners and losers at 12 years old is a absolutely idiotic method of developing talent. It’s like arguing about the best 07-09 teams. It doesn’t matter. Half the kids will be gone by time it matters.

Early success is not an indication of future success. Nova can support 4 good teams per age group.

On another note, McLean loves claiming great success at the composite age group. Let’s be real, it’s probably the oddest and weakest age group in ECNL. To me, U16 and U17 are the toughest age groups.

And BTW, USWNT training centers are fake news and the most manipulated program in US Soccer.
