I would highly suggest you go watch a training session without them knowing you are there. This way, you sweep away all the fluff and trying to impress, etc. and see it for what it's worth.

That is the true indicator.

yeah if you're not starting or the first 1-2 players coming in, the college coach knows they have 13 other better players before they even get to you... the optics are not great unless your team is winning national championships of some type and you're coming off the bench.

actually the coach is looking at at least 22 players ahead of you in the pecking order.. .the 11 starters on your team and the 11 starters on the other team. so it doesn't help your case.
