Seems like FCPS has many problems other places don’t. And we have a lot more money and a very mask compliant population. The SB and Brabrand blew this locally.

Talk about staking out a safe position.

No Republicans ever. They are bad for society.

Many voters are selfish and have no memory. They will forgive a republican who looks like their neighbor and who went to William and Mary.

I'm an equal opportunity voter - no matter what the person looks like - or their party - if they will open schools full time - they have my vote. That's unusual for me but I think the backbone of our society is public education.

He CAN'T open schools full time. He's just saying he wants to--an extremely popular position that he knows will get people to vote for him, even though it requires no actual work on his part as a candidate. Please think harder about what kind of governor he would actually be if elected.

I said I want to hear from all of them what they’ll do. I’m not automatically voting for this guy but this is my # issue to consider for the upcoming election. I would prefer a D gets it done but I am not against voting R if I have to.

This.

I'm a D. The battle over opening schools may cost D the governorships in VA and MD. They are on the wrong side.

Actually, in this part of the country, democrats are responsible for not following science and letting teachers unions hold our children hostage. It’s like we’ve totally lost our minds.

That's not what's happening FFS.

Yes. It’s exactly what kept us from going back in August

Moms vote for their kids interests. I wish Dems got that. Unions are not looking out for kids.

I hope the D party is listening. I think they just might be.

We’ll see. The Dem SB will decide whether to give the Union collective bargaining and make it more powerful in May. If they do, that’s the beginning of the end.

But it's waaaaaayyy more important to me that some old white guy can't tell my girls what they can, and can't do with their bodies.

So nope.

Exactly. Let’s open schools without selling our souls or our children’s future, please.

I’m all for that. Who is my candidate?

A lot can happen between now and November. I'm assuming that once teachers are vaccinated this all becomes a non-issue.

Why don't you want teachers to have a voice in education policy?

DP. If kids are not in school full time - I don’t the time is ripe. But if it’s up to the FCPS SB then I assume it’s a forgone conclusion.

Yeah. The blaming republicans has gotten stale. The education debacle has to do with educators simply refusing to do their jobs, with absolutely no consequences. It’s enough. Voting for anyone with a pulse who will open schools.

Unfortunately, your reasonable assumption is incorrect. Teachers are now lobbying to not go back until every child is vaccinated. Never mind that there is no pediatric vaccine. It’s gone WAY too far.

Anonymous wrote:Former Fox News contributor = instant disqualifier. Also, his plan is to get together with parent groups to recall school board members who kept schools closed? How will that make a difference THIS fall when the election is on Nov 2?
I am curious to hear more about this since the statute that covers recalling elected officials seems to imply that the official would have to commit a crime. They may be dysfunctional, but they are not criminal. If this is his platform, that is disappointing. Give me a moderate Republican with well-thought out platforms and we’ll talk.

No sh*t. But after school resumes, something the governor will have nothing to do with BTW, no matter what he's promising desperate mothers, you have four years of REPUBLICAN POLICY, which is garbage. Remember Trump? His party is the one that got us into this mess. They are still his party, and they are still a mess.

+1

I can't believe people are so ignorant to base their vote on a single issue, regardless of what that issue is. Its actually a bit terrifying.
