How many times did you have sex with your spouse in 2020?

Anonymous
Maybe once. Maybe not at all. The start of the year is a blur.

And before open marriage poster asks, I tried the girlfriend thing and it's too stressful. I want a real marriage.

Yeah, men forget girlfriends are work. You have to maintain your hygiene abs make an effort at foreplay and feigning interest in someone else’s life. Nothing easier than a wife.

He's doing it wrong if sex with his girlfriend is stressful. Agree there is work involved with any girlfriend, but having a platonic room mate wife frees up all his romantic energy to be invested in girlfriends.

Gawd I can’t believe people live like this and act like it’s okay.

I know right? 8 times in a entire year is not ok!

Oh how clever you are. Ha ha.

Why do people act like their sexual needs are more important than their partners need for loyalty and honesty and their children’s need for their parents to have a good relationship? The mental gymnastics of cheaters is really impressive, honestly.

52-75 It’s at least once a week and often twice. We’ve been married 40 years and we are in our mid-60’s so I feel pretty good about it. This morning he was complaining that “we haven’t had sex in a year” and I said “wasn’t that you last night” and he said “but that was last year.”. He usually says that on New Years Day.

Under 10 for sure. Possibly under 5. I was super pregnant and then post partum with a birth injury then waiting on vasectomy results. We just did it for the second time since July last week. So progress? We love each other very much and are both happy in our marriage.

Probably 3-5. Definitely 0 since mid-May.

Both of us are very happy with each other and our sex life. Low pressure but not infrequent.

Once a week is infrequent but that doesn’t matter if it works for both of you. Also very word that you think that people who are answering more than 5 are not “super healthy.”

NP. I think that knowing you had sex exactly 37 times is weird and not super healthy, even though I don't think that having sex 37 times in a year is totally normal.

I know exactly how many times I had sex in 2020, because circumstances (think deployment) prevented it, so the few times I had it are very memorable. But when my spouse and I were living together and having sex regularly I wasn't counting. Counting would have been, in my opinion, unhealthy.

None from March to July. Recovering from COVID. Sporadically from July to November.

Maybe 100? But with no vacations or fun hotel nights it was below our normal. None so far in 2021!

#1 for 2021. Check

Maybe #2 later tonight...

50 years old/married 22 years.

3-4 times per week during normal times. Slightly more with Covid and less running teens around/both working from home.

Zero with spouse.

Zippo! Divorce finalized in June and Covid has meant no attempt at dating. But, I did get my first vaccine shot last week (I’m a doctor) and after I get my second shot plus two more weeks I’m sure 2021 will be a better year.
