Well, now we know he isn't in McLean with all the good Republicans. He's in Vienna and is zoned to one of the lesser elementary schools!

I think I am about to have the vapors!

1. He will go private for sure.

2. How old are they? In his wife’s Kirkland picture she looks at least 40 but they have a newborn?

She got her BA in 2002, so she’s about 40.

The place you are coming from must really suck if you are ditching it for NOVA.

Women that age do have babies, you know. Sheesh.

ALOT of senators have two homes or more. Look at Pelosi.

I have no issue with following up on this and the legality of it. But it’s super sketchy after the big tech hearing. It’s called-Shadowbanning!

Politically trash the person so whatever they say gets forgotten and yeah big tech gets richer.

He makes $174k as a Senator. It's unclear if his wife works.

And yeah, $1.3 million isn't that much for NOVA, but the mortgage still has to be paid. I suppose if he and his wife didn't have any school loans and made good money in private practice for a few years, but he was a court clerk for a few years, where he didn't clear $100k, then a law firm associate, law professor in Missouri, and then Missouri AG, which also pays about $100k. None of that is adding up to a $1.3 million house.

Also, that's not what shadowbanning is. But nice try.

His wife works at Kirkland. https://www.kirkland.com/lawyers/h/hawley-erin

Ah. There it is.

So, basically they are the DC coastal elites that they claim to despise. It's truly amazing what people will buy from politicians.

Haha, so true. Interesting that Kirkland link doesn't work anymore. Was she sacked or was it taken down because she was being harassed? I was curious which office it said she worked out of - their closest to Missouri is Chicago, so I'm safely assuming Washington, which drives the point home they are full time Beltway residents. Why would Missouri want this hack phony representing them? His family literally lives 1,000 miles away.

According to the Federalist Society, Erin Morrow Hawley has not worked for Kirkland for several years, but she worked in the Washington DC office. She currently works for the Independent Women's Law Center in Washington DC which advocates in court and lobbies Congress. Hmm. A Congressional lobbyist married to a US Senator; sound like a conflict of interest? And they live in NoVa and she works in DC, so how does he maintain his MO residence? Even if they are building a new home in MO, is he really going to maintain his residence in MO while she clearly maintains a residence in VA? This sounds like tax evasion to me; like they are trying to dodge VA state taxes. VA taxes are slightly higher than MO's.

Erin Morrow Hawley is a senior legal fellow at Independent Women’s Law Center. She previously served as an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Missouri where she taught constitutional litigation, federal income tax, tax policy, and agricultural law. Her scholarship focused primarily on the federal courts and she has been published in numerous top journals. Prior to joining the law school, Hawley practiced appellate law at King & Spalding LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, both in Washington, DC. She also worked at the Department of Justice as counsel to Attorney General Michael Mukasey.

Isn't Ted Cruz's wife an exec-level banker at Goldman Sachs? Do the Cruzes actually live in Texas?

Wasn’t he also a S Court clerk? They get 300K signing Bonuses at law firms so most will go for a couple of years if only for the signing bonus.

Haha. They aren't building a darn thing. I would bet no construction exists or if it does, it's his parents house. He's a full time Nova resident.

In NWDC, it’s the norm.

I presume this is one of these phoney "women's advocacy" groups that actually lobbies against women's rights?

I bet his banker dad pays for the house in Vienna.

Little Joshy wants to be POTUS. Daddy will help.

Did the people of Missouri know he didn’t actually live there when he was running? Because a lot of people in Missouri hate “coastal elites” and think they’re phony a-holes. (I lived in St. Louis for a while.) I can’t imagine they would have voted for such a slick phony if they knew he didn’t actually live amongst them.

Bingo it’s a Federalist Society offshoot that hailed the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett.
