Josh Hawley ditches Missouri for NOVA

Little Joshy wants to be POTUS. Daddy will help.

Is he wealthy? His name is Ronald and goes by Ron. He's president of a local bank. Zillow says his home is worth $352k. I guess property is cheap in MO.

So he cheated to win...big surprise.

A manly man like that who is so obviously manly and masculine? He would cheat like that? I don’t believe this.

ALOT of senators have two homes or more. Look at Pelosi.

I have no issue with following up on this and the legality of it. But it’s super sketchy after the big tech hearing. It’s called-Shadowbanning!

Politically trash the person so whatever they say gets forgotten and yeah big tech gets richer.

He makes $174k as a Senator. It's unclear if his wife works.

And yeah, $1.3 million isn't that much for NOVA, but the mortgage still has to be paid. I suppose if he and his wife didn't have any school loans and made good money in private practice for a few years, but he was a court clerk for a few years, where he didn't clear $100k, then a law firm associate, law professor in Missouri, and then Missouri AG, which also pays about $100k. None of that is adding up to a $1.3 million house.

Also, that's not what shadowbanning is. But nice try.

NP. You seem weirdly overinvested in his life.

DP but you seem really weird to resurrect a post from January 2021. Commenter found public records easily found on Google. I think it's important to look hard at the unexplained wealth of our politicians.

Well, now we know he isn't in McLean with all the good Republicans. He's in Vienna and is zoned to one of the lesser elementary schools!

I think I am about to have the vapors!

I see this quite a bit in Vienna, where the moderately-priced (by NoVa standards) original home is torn down to build a monstrosity like Hawley's. The house across the street from Josh was built in 1960 and is half the size. The property where Hawley lives sold for 600k in December 2017. One year and much construction noise later Josh buys it for 1.3M...the longtime neighbors must be thrilled.

In light of the revelations about Clarence Thomas, Alito and Roberts’ wife, perhaps we have ourselves a little bought and paid for senator.

His wife is bringing in the dough working as a lawyer for the web of various conservative dark money groups and nonprofits. She's leading the charge to get the abortion pill banned.
