| The Thread Derailer Poster, whose post usually starts with "I don't mean to highjack the thread" or "a little bit off-topic here, but..." and what follows always shows that what they meant to do just that. After this post, most threads go to an ugly, completely unrelated to the OP, usually combative direction. |

The clueless posters - it's a wonder they figured out how to conceive.
You can't figure out what to pack in the hospital bag??...for a 48/72 hour stay?...at a local hospital? It's not rocket science and it's not like you're giving birth in a 3rd world country. "Entertaining" your baby/toddler: there is a ton of things to do in this area and you're struggling to find something to do?? I'm actually surprised that there aren't more "Am I overscheduling my child?" posts. |

If my kid didn't get into a top private, it's because of legacy/staff/diversity. If my diverse kid is in a top private, I know the rest of you think s/he doesn't measure up. |

| All good suggestions so far. I do think that some, or a lot, of the posters who say inflamatory or outright ridiculous things are really Jeff posting annonymously, to boost traffic. Or maybe I just hope that, because I don't want to believe some of the posters out there really exist and have kids. |

The Off Her Rocker poster:
Combines two, three or more of the above characteristics. For example, combines psychic ability to identify a poster ("I recognize you, you went to an Ivy, oppose red shirting, and have a kid at Yale"), with a medical diagnosis of this "single" poster's alleged psychological problems (e.g., "hallucinogenic (sic) ideations"), and throwing in some sock puppeting of her own posts in order to create the impression that another poster agrees with her. Recently one of the moderators called out a poster just like this. |

Oooh where, where? Post the link please! I've always heard of the sock puppeting, but I've never seen it confirmed. I want to read this craziness!! |
