The various types of DCUM posters

I love the bitter nanny too. I'm a nanny but I'd like to think not bitter. The other one I've noticed recurring is the one who calls everyone a jerk or idiot just because they have a different opinion or interpreted a situation differently than her.

You're all troll dolls!

As a nanny, I detest Bitter Nanny! All nannies are not bad!

How about the bitter parents who hate nannies who know the kids better than they do?

I just want to take a minute to thank the NICE nannies, seriously.

How about Disgruntled Provider Poster? This poster is a daycare provider who seems to have rage issues against parents. The poster has probably had very, very bad experiences with some parents at some point in her career and seems to think all parents are generally unfit for putting their children in daycare, even though that is how she makes her living.

Dog With a Bone. He or she has to beat the opposition into the ground and, if the opposition can't be beaten (sometimes because logic is on the opposition's side), then this poster will stick with the thread until everybody else just gives up and goes away.

The Sock Puppet. The poster who pretends to echo his or her own posts. ITA! Good point, you're so right! Lives on the private school threads.

Good one. You can always tell these posters because those threads devolve into, "Oh yeah, well you're a bitch!" "I feel sorry for your kids." "I feel sorry for YOUR kids! And your husband! And your neighbors! And I'll bet you're fat!"

ITA. Could an alias for this poster be the Ad Hominem Attack poster? This is the poster who runs out of logical points to make and switches gears to the cheapest attack: "You're fat! I feel sorry for your kids! You're having hallucinatory ideations!"

Anonymous Boaster. Supplies gratuitous (and sometimes suspect) self-promoting information when it's not in any way necessary for responding to thread topic. "In answer to your question about grouping kids by ability, my kid at a Big 3 school's experience has been...." "My kids in MoCo magnet schools are doing XYZ...." "When I was an undergrad at Harvard, I knew a few kids who did that math test...."

The Perfect Parent who has never experienced tantrums, sassy behavior, talking back, etc., because, well, they are perfect parents. Said parents will scoff at fellow parents whose 2 year olds throw tantrums, exhibit sassy behavior or talk back, etc. in public places.

The bipolar/semi-psychotic President of the William Styron fan club. Oh, how I miss her.

Not to mention they will be completely appalled to find out that there are kids out there that watch tv, are not in a strict organic non-processed food diet, play with toys from China and have a cupcake on their birthday. Absolutely unacceptable.

Nice of you to join us, Bitter Nanny.

They Started It! Poster
They move in pairs (parent/nanny, SAHM/WOHM, CIO/co-sleeper, parent/daycare provider, etc.), spending page after page debating who started the fight that erupted 17 pages back.

Oh, I completely agree with the bitter nanny one, but I still think there are a lot of bitter parents as well. It's an eye for an eye on that nanny forum..
