Lacrosse
It would be a shame if there is no type of season this Spring as Bullis would be the clear favorite to win the IAC title. Their 2021 class is almost half of the DC Express roster. |
What about the last five or six years? The landscape has changed. More administrations want to be competitive at lacrosse. |
The Geico National Championship is an actual tournament which Bullis actually won. |
| National Championship might be a bit of a stretch as the tourney had 4 teams. Bullis did beat 2 really top notch teams buuuuut... |

Landon should be part of the discussion.
The Bears have a high caliber back end. Goalie goes to Michigan Defensemen to Yale and Ohio State. The midfield is a question, but one to Penn, faceoff guy is to NESCAC and extremely athletic, the rest will have to step up. They have a bunch of young kids who are supposed to be very athletic, but who knows what a frosh can do in the IAC at midfield. The attack is Michigan, Dartmouth, and who wants some? The coaching staff is equal to or better than any in the area. Don't count out the Bears. |
Salisbury tanked against Bullis. Nice win. |

Who is Ray?

If they end up playing this spring, here’s my guess at how the teams shape up
1. Bullis 2. SJC 3. Prep 4. Gonzaga 5. Landon 6. SSASS 7. PVI 8. Episcopal 9. Dematha 10. STA |
Tanked or choked? Either way, Bullis won. |
No chance they play. The media hysteria will keep the frenzy going. |
| They will find a way to play. However the games might not be official and they might not all play each other. It might continue to be limited to showcases and play days at “closed” fields. The ranking does seem accurate. |
Not a Gonzaga booster but how could you even have SJC ranked above Gonzaga when SJC has maybe beat Gonzaga once in the past decade. SJC lost the best goalie in the area last year by a mile and I believe they also graduated a very good FOGO. I see it as the following: 1. Bullis - talented in all positions and have depth. Senior class has been playing together and getting big time minutes for a number of years now. 2. Gonzaga - the Eagles always have depth and are battled tested. WCAC titles runs through Eye Street not Military road 3. G. Prep - very athletic and should have the depth to compete with anyone in the DC area. Coaching is VERY VERY suspect. 4. Landon - Bears probably have the best attackman in the IAC and will have very strong defensive team. Midfield will be the big question mark. Always well coached 5. SJC - super athletic but graduated best attackman in area from 2020 and their top goalie. If a season is played, SJC will be a much better team come June than they are in April. HM: Don't ever count out Saint Stephens. |

What Bullis Players are so great?
Position and college destination please. I don't think you are allowed to name names on this website. |
Bullis is stacked at defense, midfield, and goalie - mostly from the DCE 2021 team. You can look it up on inside lacrosse but a lot of very strong commitments, but as important a core that has played together for a long time. At attack they are a little less strong in terms of upperclassmen, but some really strong 2023s. Best attackman in the area I’ve seen is the Gonzaga UNC 2022. The top 5 teams on paper — Zaga, SJC, GP, Bullis, and Landon — all have tons of talent. Probably the deepest set of talent for five different teams we’ve seen in the DMV - and that is without really considering the 2023s and 2024s. Lots of talent in those years from Madlax, DCE, and NL at these schools. Other than Calvert Hall, these teams match pretty well with anyone in the MIAA, IMO. |
