Careful.. they may get a brain aneurysm. |
Sure. High turnout + few voting machines + glitching voting machines = huge lines. Duh. Thank goodness people are smart enough to know the voting needs to be spread out over weeks in order to allow everyone to get to vote in person. |
Anytime someone has to wait more than half an hour to vote, it is suppression. |
|
This is voter suppression. People are willing and eager to wait because this is the first real action we can take against Trump.
Except for his visit to Nats Park, Trump stays in a bubble and never has to hear what the majority Americans think of him. But he’ll hear it in November. |
Maybe that was the only day some voters could get a ride to the polls? Not a whole lot of public transportation in that part of Georgia. Maybe that was the only day they could get off work? Maybe they wanted to make sure that they could sort out any issues with their ballot before the polls close in November? Maybe they heard about Stacey Abrams’ experience when she tried to cast her vote in the 2018 gubernatorial election? Could be a million reasons. |
Because they are PISSED OFF. |
| I’m confused about why people on this thread think the early voters are anti-Trump? Isn’t Georgia mostly a Rebublican state (both senators and most representatives?) |
More Dems plan to vote early https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2020/10/07/poll-more-than-60-of-democrats-plan-to-vote-early-vs-less-than-30-of-republicans/ |
You are SO RIGHT, PP. Who knows? Everyone, whether right- or left-leaning, deserves to vote with support of fellow citizens. I'm sending some pizza -- obviously non-partisan, but in my heart I am sending love to the misattributed Republicans. Thank you for the reminder. https://polls.pizza/donate/ |
| We’ve been extremely lucky in the past that the lines to vote at our location in Fairfax County have always been short to nonexistent. It appears that I’d spend much more time waiting in line at the Government Center for early voting. I’ll take my chances voting on Election Day. In the unlikely event that we have to wait for hours, we’ll do it, despite significant physical impairments. Nobody should have to wait for over an hour to vote. Three to ten hours is outrageous. I really have to applaud the voters in Georgia who refuse to submit to obvious voter suppression. |
| These pics -- happy tears |
Buckhead - no lines, 15 machines. see the difference? |
