Why is your cat currently mad at you?

I had to take back my office chair (best cat bed in the house) and go to work. Sorry buddy, I’d rather let you sleep there all day and not be working! Don’t kill me in my sleep

It was acceptable to feed him, but now just my presence seems to be annoying. Earlier today, he climbed on my lap so I pet him. This was unacceptable. He wanted to stand in my lap, but I was not supposed to pet him.

My cat also likes to sit in my lap as long as I am perfectly still. I am not allowed to move a muscle. Petting? Hell no.

My cats never get mad at me. Am I doing something wrong?

She's gotten too big for her favorite kitten basket, so she sits in it anyway and stares balefully at me.

Also it rained yesterday. My fault.

Does food put out for your cats disappear? Are there shed pieces of fur on your clothing?

Are your cats suspiciously cool, smooth, and prone to breakage if dropped from a great height?

I turned off the space heater while she was warming her butt.

No, they are definitely real cats. From the shelter. They are very low maintenance. Although one of them did chew open a bag of flour yesterday. And a bird flew into our house from outside and they’ve either eaten it or hidden the corpse somewhere so that I can’t find it.

They are outside and don’t want to be. Also, they ate all their food and it hasn’t been refilled. Finally, I picked up the boy and I am me, not my DD. He only likes DD.

She is absolutely ruthless about killing small things.

This reminded me of when my cat got a grasshopper - he LOVES to hunt but is indoor only and my house doesn't have mice (my apartment did...gross...and he is an expert mouser despite having no front claws and being fat and lazy), and that grasshopper is the first time I've ever heard him growl at my other cat! She wanted to steal it from him and that was not allowed.

Our cat loves only our son, and is mad at everyone else for not being him.

Our cats are annoying but don't seem to be mad very often. The anger mostly goes the other direction.

That’s so sweet.

I wouldn’t let him sit on my laptop keyboard, so when I wasn’t looking he pounced on it and restarted my computer. What a jerk!

And I moved the laptop so that she could fit her entire body on a flat surface rather than hanging 1/3 off. That removed the source of heat and things went downhill rapidly from there.

He was playing with a mouse (unfortunately not unheard of since we are surrounding by woods in a more rural setting). But he just plays with them and doesn't hurt them or kill them. DH trapped it and set it outside. The look on the cats face was priceless. He was so mad and continues to ignore dh hours later
