Why is your cat currently mad at you?

I wouldn't let her eat my daughter's butterflies that just emerged from their chrysalides. Then I had the nerve to move the butterflies to the bathroom and close the door.

Between my family , my friends and extended family and all my life of cats not one cat was overweight and neither one of them was ever feed scheduled. Cats are hugely stressed if they are feed on schedule or have to beg for food and that is why they load and get overweight.

Ask those who know.

This leads to obesity. Just like if you had food given once a day you would eat it weather you would be really hungry or not because your survival instinct kicks in.

Self feeding cat is a happy, never stressed and relaxed animal who never meows at you to feed him.

Dry food only is bad. Blocks up boy cats. And my 21 pound cat didn’t get fat because he loaded up for fear there’d be no food. He was fat because he loved to eat.

I stepped on his tail but he isn’t mad because I gave him 2 Churu cat treats to make up for it.

I took away her pompom toys because she kept putting them in her water bowl, thereby inhibiting her ability to drink water, and then leaving little sponges all over the house.

I left our four cats at my brother’s house in San Diego (drove cross country with them from DC) while I take DS to Vegas for his hobbies. Three of the cats are having a great time with my niece and her friends but my Velcro puff ball isn’t because he misses me. He is a Mama’s boy.

I used a new laundry detergent a week ago. She theatrically sniffed at the just-made bed, then stalked off in disgust. And has been sleeping under the bed each night in protest since then. Dh, who "hates cats", is urging me to switch back so that the cat can "sleep in her own bed" (which we share) again.

Dcat is old and we all love her, so I'm planning to go buy the old detergent later this week so as not to offend dcat or detract from her comfort.

This is also why I can't use the Kiehl's shampoo I love. Dcat hates the smell and cringes away from me if I smell offensive.

Cat is mad that I threw out the mouse she caught and gutted overnight and left on the couch in between the throw blankets.

I didn't give her a second leaf of fresh catnip after I'd been in the garden. Apparently, one was not enough.

I had a coughing fit and she had to get up and get worked up from the bed upstairs, come downstairs, gave me the evil eye, and then plopped on her downstairs pillow bed.

I didn’t let her scatter sugar snap peas all over the kitchen.

I don't think my cat has yet to forgive me for my son, who is now 2. He has learned my son can be a source of pets, though.

I never once new a cat who comes anywhere near an orange, this dude loves it and reports immediately when I eat one, so I always give pieces. This time I really forgot and he was really disappointed. He gave me a long look with his beautiful big gentle eyes. He got some papaya instead, we made peace.

That is really weird. Citrus spray is usually used to repel cats. But good for him.

Same. I had two cats growing up. Bowl of dry food was always our for them to munch on as desired. One cat was a normal weight. The other was so fat she waddled. No difference in how they were fed, but one weighed almost twice as much as the other one.

This is so dramatic but HE is so dramatic. He hurt his paw pad so he’s been sequestered indoors. He was begging to go outside and I figured he had to go to the bathroom. So I VERY GENTLY brought him to his new special quarantine litter box. He pooped but he hissed at the air the entire time. Just mad he had to act like a house cat. When we all know he’s a tough alley cat who can handle himself!!!

Reminded me of a teenage boy saying geez mom!! Stop! When she goes to kiss him in front of his friends
