I agree it tastes different - less flavorful |
YES! Tofu seems to come and go, but when its gone there is not ANY not even an off brand |
Agree, there is plenty of pepperoni and garlic. I was at Safeway yesterday, and both were fully stocked. Coke has slowed production and is limiting it's main production to Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite. Dr. Pepper and its varieties are limited too. |
Hotdogs were also fully stocked at Safeway |
| Following the initial shortages in March/April, I’ve found all of these things at my neighborhood Safeway (in DC) except for antibacterial wipes. |

Plain Chapstick.
Tazo-brand tea bags. |
| Organic chocolate milk |
It’s incomprehensible that anyone still drinks Diet Coke now that Coke Zero exists. |
They taste totally different. I can see why people wouldn’t switch after being used to Diet Coke. |
I agree. Why choose Diet Coke over Coke Zero? I thought maybe there was still Diet because no one was buying it. |
| Went to FoodLion where I rarely shop and found wipes, napkins & other items I’d had trouble finding elsewhere. |
|
I believe there is a bacon shortage. At Aldi they are sold out of every kind and at Safeway its up to $10 a package.
Various pork products seem to be an issue, I would guess because of the problems at the meat packing facilities. |
I like the wegmans brand and used to buy 4 boxes at a time before the pandemic. They almost never have it anymore. I also like the brand called House (I think) and could find it at Lotte, HMart and Walmart, but can’t seem to find it anymore either. It sucks, because we use a lot of tofu and can’t find it anymore. Even Costco hasn’t had it regularly. |
Yes, several of the major pork plants were shut down due to cold outbreaks. The domestic commercial market has shortages. The local small producers still have it. I have been getting pork in meat boxes from the farm delivery. I just threw some in the crock pot because I’m getting behind and my tiny freezer is full. |
That should be “covid” outbreaks. I can’t believe autocorrect can’t spell that yet. |
