This is what everyone wishes for..... and unfortunately we are all left jumping around looking for coaching and teammates that can play..... sounds like Next Level and BLC both have people saying they see them doing it in the future.... only consistent point is that MC is not that place .... they may have been at one point but not anymore |
| Has Next Level told families of the plan for Spring? Specifically if they will be playing NGLL or MGLL? |
Not sure that they have committed to anything yet but it also probably depends significantly on the year. If they do it, they will only include the teams that can compete at NGLL ‘B’ level, which probably means being able to win at least half the games. I doubt that every year is capable of that. |
What years would that be? I don’t really see any NL team killing it in McLean box and those are the younger girls. The older teams I think are even less competitive? |
| Are the Next Level girls teams competing in any tournaments this fall? |
I know some teams played last week at Fall Roundup and I see some at Laxin Out Loud this coming up weekend. |
Looks like they are skipping the most competitive tournaments: Primetime Young Guns, Mid-Atlantic Showcase and Chesapeake Invitational. |
Doubt they can get spots in MidAtlantic and Chesapeake is invitation only so no, they wouldn’t play there. Is Primetime on? I thought it was cancelled |

| Next Level is not on the same level as BLC -- I don't believe they made any cuts for certain years and their rosters are gigantic. BLC is tough to get a spot and playing time but the coaching seems good and the girls seem to develop quite a bit while there. |
Is there HS program falling apart??? Next Level definitely wouldn't get into those competitive tournaments - you're right! But they seemed to have dropped out of sight. Any NL parents on here that can provide any insight? They are not at that calibre and would get killed even in the lower brackets of the real travel tournaments. The only reason they call themselves "travel" is so they can justify the price but at the end of the day it's a rec-level of coaching and play. Most of the parents I know whose girls play there have kids that aren't skilled enough to play for true travel teams like Pride, Capital, and MCE (or would be at the bottom of a B team there), but want to say their kids play travel. Most of their coaches didn't even play in college. They have done a great job of marketing themselves to confused parents who think they are paying for one thing but are actually getting another. No college recruiting happening there. It's really just a way for girls who played rec in younger years to keep playing, which fills a niche for many girls. But NL is not actually a travel-level club. |
Their 24's got crushed last weekend. Looks like they are struggling. |
| Looks like the Next Level 2027 team did quite well at their most recent tournament. Maybe they are up and coming after all? |
| You must be thinking of another birth year -- the 2027s lost all but one of their games. |
| Considering the competition I think they did pretty well.... |
