NP here. I loved the season - but was curious why caste was never really explicitly mentioned. Is that because everyone who uses Sima Auntie is a high caste? Or because Indians in America don’t care about that, or because they edited it out because it would be too confusing for a white audience, or some other reason? It basically didn’t come up. I thought that even saying you want a partner from a specific region of India isn’t specific enough. Could someone explain this to someone who knows nothing about this? Thanks!

How much do you think Sima Auntie is paid and how would the fee structure work? She seems so kind to everyone while really trying to get the job done-a lot of time and work.

It is definitely real and definitely very generational. Most younger people don't care if you are "wheatish" but older folks will just come out and say it is a deal breaker (obviously not in all families, many have moved away from caring about this).

I'm always surprised at how much people value height, I forgot about that being a thing, honestly, even for women.

I too, love the vignette's of the couples in the beginning.

I love all matchmaking shows and kind of wish I could figure out how to fall into this line of work!

Is Pradyhuman white? Why can’t they do this for the South Indians to make it hardcore Indian. They had two ABDs and a white looking Indian

That is so weird." and then criticizing it as a character flaw of the guy... that's pretty psycho. But she saw what happened to her mom and she is really scared to commit to the wrong guy.
Listen, I am the first to say we all have our stuff and you have to work through it and be a respectful person. It's not an excuse to be condescending... but I do feel for her.

Can you put spoiler alert before you spout off like that . Not every one is done with all episodes

Calm down- it is in episode 2 or 3!

She charges $1500 - $5000 plus travel expenses. It's on her website.
