Daisy -- Kitchen maid on Downton Abbey.

You beat me to it.

Why not Mary, Edith, Sybil, Cora or Violet -- so much better to choose upstairs names.

I'm going to call my next cat Mrs. Patmore.

What? Not Mrs Catmore?

Do you have any other kids? If so, can you tell us their names so we can see what your style is?

I can be talked into like lots of names, but these are both tough. Daisy is very sweet, so I guess I'd go with that, but I'm asking about siblings so you don't wind up with anything too cutesy or hipster.

Are these name threads even for real?

Both of these names are common names for Cows.

Love Daisy!

Elsie, Daisy, Bessie, Nellie are very popular names for cows. Do you live near a farm?

Daisy is usually a nickname (cow comments aside), as is Elsie. Find something better for a child's name.

I love both Daisy and June. They were on our short list for our DD though we went with something else (we decided we wanted a more formal name with a shorter nickname option).

I think Elise is very pretty but seems tonally different than your other options. I think you like cheerful names (as do I) and Elise is a little bit serious.

I don't like Elsie and think it's skewing the responses in the thread. Its the only one that reads as "dairy" to me, and I think the other names are getting dragged into the association.

I think this thread is a fake. Borden Dairy has a branding image that is Elsie the cow wearing a *daisy* necklace. I really don't think this is a real question.
