What do you eat when you’re craving sweets?

Lately, my obsession has been frozen manga! So good. I also like berries with a bit of cool whip on top.

Sometimes, when I'm craving after dinner sweats, I have a can of sparkling water and realize that I didn't actually desire sugary sweets but rather am habituated to having more food at night and just wanted to consume something.

But also, I'm human. I love my desserts and enjoy them often enough!

I mix a little bit of nuts, seeds, sesame.seeds and sprinkle it wit honey.
Fresh fruits
Plain yogurt with honey
Scoop of raspberry jam

For a real treat, I get a lemon meringue tart from my favorite bakery.

Go keto to kick the habit. That’s the only thing that’s worked for my insatiable sweet tooth. When I’m not on a keto diet, which is most of the time, I try to drink lots of water because a craving usually means I’m thirsty.

When I am in serious weight loss mode, it’s all about finding low calorie sweets because I have a terrible sweet tooth.

Here are my hacks: 1/2 cup sugary cereal like lucky charms, sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles, hard candy, sugar free mints or gum, sugar free yogurt , lollipop, watermelon, handful of marshmallows, handful of dark chocolate chips(mini are good)

For me, it’s about having something sweet that is low calorie that I can have and now blow my whole day of low calorie eating. Many of these things are things I can have a a few of and still stay under 100 calories for my “treat.”

I chug water. For me craving sweets is usually a sign of dehydration since I don’t normally have a sweet tooth.

If that didn’t work, I have a spoonful of Nutella, or a Lindt dark chocolate truffle.

Pre Covid: warm tea

During covid: I bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies
