No I want them inside or sequestered to neighborhood walks only like I am lol |
No way in hell. I agree with OP wholeheartedly. I would venture to guess that fully 50% of interactions over the past 6 weeks were unnecessary for a lot of people. I know of MANY many people that are living life pretty damn close to normal except for no school. Yes, I could provide links, photos, videos if necessary. It's insane. And it's not that I feel like I want to do it differently than I am, but as someone else said, it makes it feel like it's for nothing as far as the greater good goes. |
+1. But everyone just says. "it's a free country". You can't win |
|
OP, we are only flattening the curve. We will not get rid of this virus by staying at home. That is NEVER what this was meant to do. Why don't you understand that? |
|
Do you feel like a chump because some people stay out all night and do cool drugs and have unprotected sex with strangers and you don't get to have as much fun as they do?
Or feel like a chump because some people eat ice cream and chips and french fries every day and you have to eat the kale again? They're making their choices. You make yours. |
Well that’s never going to happen, so what’s the point of whining abt it? Just keep doing what you’re doing and stop complaining. |
Of course I do... I also understand stay at home orders haven’t lifted though ... |
The whole point of DCUM is whining about stuff nobody really “needs” to whine about |
|
And this is why the USA has the most cases and the most deaths. As long as their most beloved isn’t breathing with a tube, they’re going to disregard science. I mean, why are we surprised? Enough people voted for Trump that he became President, and now he’s killing off Americans because of his lack of clear messaging on the pandemic (and deliberate lies and red herrings). 2016 consequences, people. |
That won't change the facts. Once people can go out again, the virus will be there. We are not quarantined so it magically disappeared. It's an enemy we will be faced with for awhile. |
|
First off, I don’t know why OP feels like a chump. You were helping. You’re still helping. Other people break laws but that doesn’t mean we’re suckers for following them and being part of the solution.
Second, the order is in effect until May 8. That store could be open, but only if they have 10 people or fewer inside and practice social distancing: https://www.governor.virginia.gov/media/governorvirginiagov/executive-actions/EO-53-Temporary-Restrictions-Due-To-Novel-Coronavirus-(COVID-19).pdf If they were not, they were breaking the law. |
That's not true. We're in the same boat as pretty much every other western country. |
I’d prefer to cut off its legs a bit longer. |
I have an autoimmune disorder, so I want to go outside but just keep everyone else at the prescribed 6ft — but people aren’t wearing masks and not keeping distance. That’s the fundamental problem. |
