Such a huge time waster to pull at work. |
+1000 Vent away and hopefully our lives will be back to normal soon. |
I’m sure that there is a reason it matters. Maybe this is her break from work, and she wants to get some things done. Maybe this is the time the other child goes down for a nap. There are many reasons that 1 hour here of there could matter. |
There's a reason I read DCUM - I learn something new every day. Here's Dalgona coffee. But no thanks due to the sugar. https://www.inverse.com/culture/dalgona-coffee |
OP you're not going to get two hours outside every day. It's been raining so much that's not really feasible. Additionally, with cooler/damp weather, some kids don't want to go outside. Brainstorm with nanny to either be in different part of house or outside during the time you need the spaces. |
I’m jealous. I’m jealous of her easy job, and I’m jealous you have a nanny |
You sound like a nightmare. If I were you I would hide in my office and come out when they are outside |
One less lawyer! Thank God! |
Preschoolers don’t stay focused on a zoom circle time for 45 minutes unless the adult in the room with them helps them pay attention. 2yo can help clean up from lunch before circle time, and any setup in the backyard can be done together after circle time. Any break nanny needs to make her coffee can be while your 2yo naps; there’s no way a 2yo should be active in the backyard for 2 hours instead of napping. |
What happens when it rains? |
Thanks! I had no clue what is was either. It looks vile! |
Zoom time cannot be independent time for your preschooler. The nanny should not even be in your home because of the concept of social distancing and the need to not spread the virus all over. I’m sure you have heard of how everyone is making massive sacrifices/alterations to their daily lives to protect the most vulnerable in our society and all the health care workers. |
Really? It’s all over Instagram (and FB and every other platform - even Washington Post and NYT write about it!) |
+1 |
Disagree. A closed loop with nanny is fine. |
