OP here. when we got married he made it such a huge point to put my name on his bank account right away . Like he was showing me how awesome he was. I do have my own bank acct where my earned money gets deposited . It’s nice having cash so the credit card nazi doesn’t see everything I purchase. I grab a check from his drawer and add money to my account once in a while without telling him. oh boy in our last huge fight he was quick to throw that in my face. So this time I asked and you see how that worked out. So basically it has pretty much turned into, “this is our joint bank account honey, but don’t you dare fricken touch it”!

Log into your bank account. Punch in the numbers. If your name is on the other bank account, then there are no passwords to enter. Have you never used online bank account access before? Does he think in terms of how his earning are HIS and not yours together? That's the big red flag. My DH has always, always said his earnings are OUR earnings. Even when I was working full-time. Everything of his and mine was and is combined. The "my money is my money and you need to beg for it" mentality is not conducive to being married. At least, not happily married.

No kids. It’s never been much of an issue till now. Like I said because I never really needed to ask for $ till now. He’s bought me a few luxury vehicles and nice jewelry but for some reason he has an aversion to giving me money.

OP, I hate to be the one to break this to you, but your husband is this way because deep down he doesn't trust you for whatever reason.
