Dumb question. Does everyone put the bike on hardwood floors? Can carpet work?

I got the mat, I have my bike on the mat and the mat is on carpet.

I have black foam tiles in my gym and use the mat on top of that.

Has anyone found that the bike is not completely stable when your in third position and going somewhat fast? I have no issues in third position with high resistance, but if it’s more of a job, it wobbles. I have adjusted the stabilizers and my bike sits on a mat on a hard wood floor.

My husband wanted the bike and I wasn't a fan the first few times I tried it...probably because I picked classes that were really hard. Once I eased into it (lots of low impact/advanced beginner classes) I began to love it. Now I ride way more than he does.

Same here!

PSA for anyone who can’t stomach paying 3K for exercise equipment...subscribing to the Peloton app for $20/mo is also amazing. You can stream all of their classes and use your own equipment. True you don’t get the bike metrics but you still get all the other benefits including the century ride T-shirt!

I do not have this problem, but my bike sits on concrete in my laundry room.

For anyone that has the app and bike, can the app be shared with a couple? Meaning, do we each need our own?

We have 1 bike and 1 subscription to the app, which we got with the bike. Both my husband and I have access to the app.

The bike subscription can include multiple people, I don’t know what the limit is. Each person on the bike can download the app for no charge.

If you have the bike, the app can be shared with multiple people. I believe that if you just have the app, it’s just for you and your husband would need his own. That’s one of the reasons (the main reason?) for the price difference for the monthly subscription between bike owners and app users.

I then ordered shoes for my DH a couple days ago and the website said it would take weeks to get to me, but they just arrived today—so maybe your bike will get there sooner than they're saying?

Interesting. We ordered it Monday the 16th around noon and the earliest delivery date we were able to schedule was April 2nd. I even tried to reschedule delivery and got an automated message that they are slammed and will not be able to reschedule deliveries. Oh well. Glad to know you think it was worth it! I also have heard great things.

I ordered Monday the 16th at about 8am, and mine is supposed to come tomorrow.

We are debating getting one. I know the classes are the main draw. But is it possible to use it like a regular bike and watch Netflix or something at the same time also?
