| Do any of the instructors have hip hop/rap playlists? I prefer trap music when I workout. I love spin and have been thinking about getting one before moving overseas. |
Yes. There are many, many hip hop classes and the playlists are FIRE. But the "trap" classes are not actual trap music. |
Yes they do! Tons of rap and hip hop! |
Alex hip hop rides or club bangers rides |
Kendall and Tunde also have great hip hop playlists. |
Try periodically calling to see if they have an earlier delivery date. That's what I did- and got it much sooner. Perhaps I got lucky, but you never know. |
| 20:00 here. Thanks to those who replied! |
| Thanks 12:21. Was looking at delivery next week. Called just to ask for an earlier time and they are coming tomorrow! Yay! Made my day. |
Enjoy it! Since they can only do threshold delivery now, make sure you google how to stabilize the bike. There are six footers that you can adjust to make sure it doesn’t wobble. |

I have one also and I LOVE IT. It took me a while to adjust to the style of riding - I was also a fan of the Zengo/SoulCycle style of riding, so it took me a while to adjust to riding without all the "tap backs" and choreography. Within a few weeks I found my favorite instructors and I haven't looked back. I've been using the bike and the app for over 2 and a half years, and I still take a Peloton class at least 5x a week. The instructors are fantastic and they do an amazing job of launching new content to keep members engaged.
I think you were smart to go with a Peloton over the SoulCycle bike. I think they are going to have a tough time really competing with Peloton, especially in light of Covid-19. They were already struggling financially, and it could be pretty dire now that all of their studios are closed around the country. It wouldn't surprise me if the bike isn't fully launched at all. Also keep in mind what happened with the FlyWheel bike. They launched to compete with Peloton, Peloton sued them for copyright infringement, and Flywheel ended up settling the case, admitting wrongdoing, shuttering the at home bike business and transferring their customers to Peloton. https://www.theverge.com/2020/2/20/21145349/flywheel-bike-shut-down-email-user-reactions-peloton-trade-in Covid-19 may be the final nail in the coffin for FlyWheel; apparently they have laid off over 90 percent of their employees in light of the virus and studio closings. |

Less than a week until we get our delivery. We still need to make room in our office and DH is going to install a fan in that room. Getting excited!
How long before you got into the groove? I've never been big into biking as I find the position unnatural (I love running and lifting weights). |
| I bought a sunny brand to use with the peloton app (currently offering free 90 day trial) and love it. I’ve never done studio cycling before so I have nothing to compare to but really enjoyed my first ride yesterday. I can see how it would be addictive. |
For me, it was almost immediate, and I had never done a spin class before we got our Peloton. I am a long-time runner and also do a lot of strength-training. Enjoy! I am SO glad we have ours. |
OP here. I got into it right away, and have ridden every day since getting it. Usually, I love running outside when the weather is nice, but I've loved the classes and ease of the Peloton so much, that I haven't been running as much (and my knees are grateful). The saddle-caused soreness was def a problem for me *on other bikes* (I was getting these weird hard sores near my underwear line) but the Peloton hasn't bugged me as much for whatever reason. I also stopped wearing underwear while spinning. |
| Are there any Peloton fans who used the bikes through pregnancy? What was your experience? Did you push yourself as hard? Did you worry about overheating? |
