Yes, does it not make you feel nostalgic?

I only hope my husband still wants me to sit on his lap when I'm 60.

You people are weird.

Whether she is six times the size of him or not.. what does that matter to you? It isn't your lap.

My mom still sometimes comes and sits on my dad's lap. They are in their seventies. Of course, he pushes her off after a couple of seconds because they both have bad backs.

I think it's sweet.

I know one couple who used to do it in church! Everybody thought it was very sweet.

I can't see anything inappropriate about it unless they're naked or making out or something.

What is so wrong about kids seeing people in love or showing the ones they love affection in appropriate ways?

Sounds like a cool church. Where is it?

Near Annapolis.

I hear there's also a swinger's club near Annapolis, too.

Oy. Ya gotta be kidding me. I never even considered sitting on my DH's lap PDA.

Yes, but I think the couple in that thread were kissing each other and calling each other "schmoopie" so it was a little more PDA than this post.

Nothing wrong with it at all. As a matter of fact, it's my favorite position. I like it like that!

The Bible is very clear on this. This heathen couple is definitely in for a smoting.

I agree. My husband and I are openly affectionate with one another because we love one another. We've been together for a long long time, and I know I'll be sitting in his lap when we're 80.

We just named our third child "Grody." DH and I just love the name. It is extremely unique and goes so well with our first two kids' names: Macey and Dylyn.

At almost 40, I do not sit in my husband's lap. And yes, we love each other - just not in a "bid daddy" and "little woman" sort of way. We love each other as equals. Sitting on someone's lap is just a little "parrent/child" which is why I find it weird. But hey, if it works for you, go for it. I'm sure we all do things other's find weird.

Sounds like an issue that you have. I am not sure that is a universal interpretation of the act. But as you say, to each his own.

It's not just weird, it's a sin. No smoting for you, though.
