There are more episodes coming. Did you not read the book? Like everything, the book has much more details. And really leaves you torn. |
| I LOVED the book and I'm loving the series. Agree that Kerry Washington is not doing so great in the role. Lisa Bonet would be have been awesome. |
| I’m loving the added racial dynamic and the coming our backstory they’ve given Izzy... |
Was the gay story line in the book? And whatever she did with her friend? And told her dad? |
No |

Didn't read the book..
Seein that eople are not liking Kerry Washington in the role as Mia. How do you feel about Reese? |
Yes- esp if you don't have cable/live tv (news, weather) Better Things, Schitt's Creek, SNL (I watch on Sunday - no commercials!), plus other PPs recs. |
The character is basically vintage Reese/Madeline from Big Little Lies. |
+1 Maybe that's just reese in real life too. |
Reese has more emotional depth than Kerry is portraying. |
+1 Kerry is just portraying seething anger and not much else. |
|
.I loved the Mia character in the book.
Sounds like I shouldn't watch if I want to hang on to that. |
I think it’s still worth the watch, but you will lose some of the love. |
I loved the book. Like, LOVED. Listened to it and was crying. I’ve also posted before and said that the best part of the book is how torn you are: you go back-and-forth between rooting for Linda, Bebe, Elena, Mia. They’re all terrible, they’re all right, they’re all wrong. Mia did not seem as vindictive in the book, and either was Elena for that matter. |
| This show is terrible, but I can't stop hate-watching it. Every main character is one-dimensional. The kids are better, but the acting in the adults is horrid, the story makes absolutely no sense. |
