Six kids...eight kids - when did every family turn into the brady bunch?

It’s a status symbol among the very rich. I know 2 families like this. They have 2-3 nannies when the kids are going, then they send their kids to private school and private colleges.

Decades long increases in IQ have flattened out in large part because less intelligent people are having more children and more intelligent people are having fewer.....welcome to the future.

Yes but can you afford to send them to college or do you expect the rest of that to do that on our tax dimes?

I cannot even believe how obnoxious this comment is. I am one of 8, and all but one went to college, paid for by parents/kids themselves.

I have four, all went to private college paid for fully by us (the parents). And at what schools do taxpayers fund college educations? You can't possibly mean financial aid for qualifying families.

Made me wonder if there is any correlation with them being very motivated, but most likely it’s just something out of the ordinary so it gets press.
Big families are great!

Alyssa Liu is the child of a prominent gay lawyer. His kids were all conceived via an egg donor and surrogate. The 3rd/4th/5th kids were triplets.

(The guy on the voice is the kid of super-religious Christian missionaries)

Hasidics and Mormons are the only groups I’m aware of that breed this radically.

No. Not common. Anywhere. They are outliers.

Not sure how that’s relevant? It’s a big family. They are still raising lots of kids.

Money sure does help you have a large family. And makes it a lot easier. However I find “status symbol” cringeworthy. I think that’s probably your biased viewpoint.

We're taking the long view. I hope I live long enough to see how my kids' votes change the world.
