Agree. Some of the celebration was excessive. It’s ok to be happy and keep scoring for goal differential advantages, but no need to be so pompous when you are up by that much. Let the scoreboard do the talking, that’s the classy way to handle it. The other teams will see that and be intimidated. They’ll now watch the pomp and in their hearts work harder to humiliate our team. Jill Ellis could learn a thing or two from coaches who understand the importance of keeping the ship on an even keel. |
I get how it seems that way, but keep in mind Sweden will kill them too. If the US has a close one vs . Chile who will have to actually play and not bunker , they will need the differential goals to win the group. Make no mistake, Sweden would have done the same thing and the poor Thais are in for two more solid ass whippings before this nightmare is over |

Was this in the US? It is much more typical for US parents to encourage their daughters to participate in sports than it is for parents in other countries. Your experience was similar to mine and a lot of my friends in the US. |
This isn't good for women's soccer. Just reinforces there's no depth of quality in the international ranks. |
Yes. Right here. 15 min south of DC. |
Very typical of the US. My friends who grew up in other countries had different experiences: they were definitely not encouraged to play sports as girls, they were even told that girls just don’t play sports. |
| Sweep the leg Johnny. No Mercy. |
| Maybe you guys can give Thailand a participation trophy and a shoulder rub to make them feel better. |
Yes. We know how that worked out. And that can also be a two-way street in the short run, and quite literally at that. |
They are a lot better and braver than your sorry ass, you armchair-would-be-tough-guy. |
' I spit out my wine when I heard somebody mention that the US women should only have played with their left/non-dominant foot. Ha. Not just because of how ridiculous it was (and they were dead-serious), but also because I would hope that at the National level everyone on the team can use both feet. If you can't use both feet almost equally as well, you shouldn't be playing at a National level. |
| I just hope they can beat France |
Yeah. I doubt that. THIS IS SPARTAAAAA! (Proceeds to kick Thialand into the hole of fallen enemies) |

He guys..play keep away. Connect 10 passes before you shoot on goal with your left foot with one eye open.
Yeah, let's really humiliate them. |
