Holy. I missed the game, but omg.

Anyone know if they will replay on TV?

Felt bad for Thailand then noted that in case of a tie, standings are determined by number of goals, so made sense for them to get as many as possible.

It is the word cup, after all, and not my HS JV game where you were told to play lefty after a lead of 5.

Classless.

For a team that always talks about building the sport and being role models, that was completely unnecessary. Goes to show that Morgan and the others are just concerned about padding their stats.

Yes it is a contract year.

Scoring goals in extra time up 12-0...pathetic.

This is the World Cup, not a rec game for fun. It would have been disrespectful to Thailand if they took the foot of the gas.

Are you clueless?!?!

It’s the frickin World Cup, not 2nd grade rec. Players want to earn as many goals as possible. It’s called setting records.

Unlike the other player, my HS, college and league kept goals scored. Who wouldn’t want to be in NCAA record book—and that’s not even as big a deal as World Cup?

They can’t do anything right in your eyes, I suspect. If they hadn’t continued to score against a vastly inferior team, you would have said they were incompetent/worthless/pathetic. But score 13 goals and they’re still pathetic? Maybe they should just stay home and make your dinner, right?

It's bad enough that they kept running up the score after say 7 or 8 goals; but celebrating like this when you make 9-0. By any rational person's standard, it's classless:

But the USWNT only did that because they didn't want to be "disrespectful"

I was hoping to watch it online but now that I know the score the anticipation is gone.

Such an American reaction. I have kids who play in international tournaments, even at u12 in Europe they keep the gas on and cheer wildly. I saw scores 20-0 and the parents crowds are still cheering. It’s the World Cup!!! You keep scoring and foolish to suggest anything different
