MAGA teen bused in from a Catholic school harasses Indigenous People's marcher. Vile.

Again, Trump has emboldened racists in this country. Truly disgusting.

And this is why I have nothing but disdain for Trump supporters.

My toddler would be more respectful than these pricks.

His face will forever be in history.

Just like this.

I don't think those people care, and neither will those racist white guys. They wear that badge proudly.

Maybe that will get him in to Harvard like David Hogg.

More insight into the MAGA mind: trying to prevent high school kids from being shot is just like disrespecting Native Americans.

No, he’s mocking white people who CLAIM to be native Americans.

Try and keep up.

That’s why he mocks the suffering of native people in historical battles and atrocities? Read a book, shithead.

Look, I realize you're stupid, but I simply REFUSE to believe you are THIS stupid. Therefore, you are gaslighting.

You know very well, as does everyone, that Trump was referring to Elizabeth Warren when he makes jokes about "Fauxchahontas". Stop with the gaslighting. It's fooling no one.

MAGA brains have never heard of Wounded Knee and, therefore, think the poster who referenced it is stupid.

Post by my friend who attended both a Jesuit high school and a Jesuit college, and taught/coached at the latter.

Do you know when you see the pictures of white guys harassing people during the Civil Rights Movement and you think, “Who were those guys and what the hell were they thinking?” Well, sadly, history repeats.

These are young men from Covington Catholic HS in Kentucky mocking and attempting to intimidate Native American elders during the Indigenous People's March in DC yesterday. These young Catholics were in DC for the Right to Life March and this is what they decided to do with their free time.

This is a teaching moment for every educator at every Catholic all-boys school in the United States. This is the toxic masculinity and racism that is ever-present, either overtly like this or resting right beneath the surface in elite all-boys schools. (I say this as an alum of Christian Brothers Academy-NJ).

As the graduate of an all-boys, Catholic school, I have gladly joined the call of others and will contribute to bring this Native American elder to #CovingtonCatholic in #KY for a teach-in on dignity, solidarity, and Native American spirituality.

If people watching this would like to encourage the educators at Covington Catholic to address this issue head, on, please contact the following people:

Mr. Richard Flesch is the coordinator of the Right to Life trip.
rflesch@covcath.org

Mr. Art Hertsenberg is the chair of the Religion Department.
ahertsenberg@covcath.org

This is a pivotal moment for the community at Covington Catholic to confront their toxic masculinity and racism and in doing so, they can serve as an example for every Catholic all-boys school in the nation.

Peace.

It doesn't work as an insult if Pocahontas is a noble and respected figure in your mind. Trump probably thinks about Pocahontas like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AdPi5JnkNQ

I would like to have seen how this started--were the kids standing there when the Indigenous People arrived--or did the kid walk up to get in his face. Obnoxious yes.

Look also at the kids around him, his classmates, grinning. Did any of them call him out and tell him to stop?

This shit is exactly what the Gillette commercial they all hate was talking about.

I bet this kid and some of the ones in the crowd get suspended.

Someone standing in front of someone else.

More pointless outrage at nothing.

He was clearly standing in the Native American man's personal space. Would you want a stranger deliberately standing that close to you? If my kid did this, I would consider it intolerance and harassment. There would be consequences. It's odd how acceptable lack of civility has become in our country.

If that was my son, I'd feel like I failed as a parent.

This is the danger of segregation and people living with and/or communicating with only like minded people.

They haven't learned the biggest and most important lessons of life in their school.

This is exactly why public schools are so important to this nation. We cannot be a nation and yet allow people to divide themselves into their corners.
