But you know that's not how it works! Evans isn't gonna do any time and you know it. Look at how the DC Council is dragging their feet doing anything about this.

Jack Evans got paid $50k by a parking mgmt company to screw its rival. He admitted he took over $325k in bribes. Yes, that's what consulting fees with city council employees are--bribes.

Get it?

Chuck Thies thinks people should be arrested and prosecuted for fare evading so fukk him too.

Corruption is pervasive in DC including on the council. A Majority of the council just voted to go forward with a very sketchy lotto contract. Several of the council members who in the end voted for the contract acknowledge that the contract stinks and the subcontractors have no qualifications other than their political connections. But then several said if the council took a strict ethics view, it would basically eviscerate minority owned business subcontracts in DC because all that many such subs bring to the table is their political connections rather than experience and competitor costs.

Democratic chairmen on U.S. House Oversight Committee ask Metro IG to investigate evidence that Jack Evans and Corbett Price sought to impede Metro ethics inquiry of Evans.

Is he running for re-election? He has almost as many investigations into his behavior as Donald Trump and everyone is pissed at him for his role in the Maret-Jelleff deal, and the Colonial Parking corruption etc.

I don't think he's decided yet, but the bigger his field of opponents get the better his chances of reelection get. That's how we got four more years of Nadeau's idiocy.

“As calls for his resignation grow, Jack Evans says "I don't have any intention of resigning" and that his legal team's new 67-page response should address the concerns raised in the O'Melveny report.” - the Post’s Fenit Nirappil

Councilmembers Grosso, Allen, Silverman and Nadeau have called for his resignation.

Todd and Cheh called for him to resign tonight, which means a majority of the council has. Need 11 to officially expel him though.

Who’s missing? Mendelson? Gray? White? McDuffie?

Mendelson, Gray, Trayon White, and McDuffie. Surprised McDuffie hasn’t, but perhaps he will tomorrow.

My theory is that Evans is being protected by Bowser. He’s a big proponent of her crony developer deals, they are aligned on giving away Jelleff to Maret, etc.

He’s become Bowser’s errand boy. Bowser will have no leverage over a new Ward 2 Council Member.

Except Todd came out for resignation. He is Bowser's left toe.

What councilmember is still in favor of Jack Evans keeping his job at this point? I wonder if his removal will cause a backlash by Bowser against his Maret deal.
